Posted on 10/05/2012 4:05:53 PM PDT by An Old Man
It is a sad statement about either American politics or American sanity that when today's jobs report showed the unemployment falling below 8% for the first time in Obama's presidency, the reaction from some administration critics was: The numbers are cooked! ...

It's been a long time since I posted here.
An Old Man
Lying criminal bastards!
Time to post, then.
Here is the ONLY jobs reports I believe:
1. Number of job openings in my field within driving distance paying about as much or better with a better opportunity, combined with the number of headhunter calls (calls since 2008:0)
2. Number of job openings for my wife in her field within driving distance paying about as much or better with a better opportunity, combined with the number of headhunter calls (calls since 2009:0)
So far, total crap.
And there’s my jobs report.
I think I’ve discovered where SOME of these “jobs” came from. Just glanced at the local paper touting the “STEP-Up job training program” in CT. It seems $30 million of our tax dollars have enabled 297 businesses to hire 699 employees statewide. That’s $42K per. For a year. What then? No skin off the employer’s nose - they get a headcount for nothing while the money lasts. But this sure doesn’t sound like “employment” in the strict sense - although it sure does add to Obummer’s employment figures... What a racket.
There.......finished....what do you think?
Wash DC/ NoVa is the only place I’ve been in the last couple of years that looks like most of America looked pre-0bama.
All I see are half empty commercial retail centers....
Your penmanship is superb!
I think this will backfire on the libs. Every radio and TV station I’ve checked today has talked about how the numbers were cooked and could not be correct. This will make the Obama crime syndicate even more suspect and devious to the average voter, than it is already.
I will agree, at least they could have staged this as not so obvious.
This was so obvious, only a fool would believe it!
The Atlantic wrote this????
Well it's obvious they did fake the numbers on purpose to get the unemployment rate below 8% right in time for the election with the biggest jump in job creation in 29 years , even better than boom times when we are in a depression right now.
This is government fraud
These numbers are ALL from the GOVERNMENT.
who in their right mind trusts government to get ANYTHING right in the first place ?
This POS Obama is a criminal
This is all lies
This is criminal fraud , an October surprise and the media keeps reporting it as truth. This is lies from Obama s corrupt government. Obamas government agency
magically found biggest number of jobs in 29 years, almost 900,000 jobs in one month to lower the unemployment rate by exact amount so that it would go below 8% right in time for the election:
Total employment highest one-month jump in 29 years...
BLS economists donate to Obama campaign...
We here in the net-sphere see right through the lying BS, BUT,unfortunately the American people are so gullible and believe EVERYTHING the mediaVOMITS spew. On special report Charles K said that these numbers bring Obumbler a much need detraction from the disastrous debate. This is a number that just might win him the election...I KID YOU NOT! I can’t believe this...what does Mitt have to do to finish the beast off??
OOps, meant distraction not detraction
Thanks for the report - it seems you are definitely onto something! I think Drudge or Rush would like to hear about this.
You missed: Traitor, Usurper, Communist, Fraud, Occupier, Homosexual, Felon, Illegal Alien, Junkie, Disgrace,....many more not listed, none good.
Perfect. Saves me the trouble of saying it. I like visuals!
What does Mitt have to do? He has to pray and so do the rest of Americans. Our battle is not with real people, our battle is with the spirit of evil.
He won’t be able to fool anyone but the koolaid drinkers. I explained it to my neighbor like this.
The unemployment rate was about 8% and in order to keep it at 8%, they need to create about 200 - 300K jobs per month. This is a generally accepted principle backed up by numbers (eligible employees entering and leaving the workforce and seasonal adjustments)
So in September, we “created” 114k jobs yet the number went down to well below 8%. So technically we added 200k people, and only added 114k jobs which means 86k additional job seekers can’t find work, so the percent unemployed should have gone up but it didn’t. Does that sound right?
This is as crooked as the inflation calculus.
I haven’t liked the unemployment figuring for years. Too many people out of the market because no jobs and as far as I know, not counted as unemployed.
HOWEVER, the real figures would also factor in retirees. Not every new worker has to fill a newly created job. Some existing jobs culd be filled because of retirements disability etc.
Anybody have those numbers?
I've seen it reported that 211,000, not 86,000, people left the workforce. (But somehow, the labor participation rate remained miraculously unchanged.)
Just like a girl going in one month's time from an A cup to Double Ds and expect no one to suspect implants.................
Especially when considering the 1st-time unemployment #s @375K/month.
Is the jobs # net of unemployment, or not? If not, then we're actually at a NET of OVER 250,000 MORE people out of work than the prior month.
Just about the number in the town I live in, to lend a sense of scale.
This regime is all bullsh(cough), 24/7...
They said that 800,000+ jobs had been added in the last month, the most in one month since 1983. It turns out that half of those were part-time jobs and many were temporary or seasonal jobs, and the margin of error was 50%.
Correction: 375,000 per WEEK!
There is no need to use surveys and statistical analysis to determine how many are employed. They have the ability to know exactly how many are working because they have access to SSN data, if you are working you pay in, if you are not working you don’t.
So far, she has been offered a 3 month Temp Job that paid 25% less than the Unemployment Compensation she receives. That's it.
When I saw that 7.8% figure on Drudge I was pissed beyond belief. I had heard just a couple of months ago that the added Employment Numbers would have to be over 250,000 to knock .1% off the Unemployment number.
To top it off, the local News shows touted the 7.8% Jobs number as an great improvement in the Economy. None of the details of the report, like how many left the Employment rolls, were even mentioned.
>> It is a sad statement about either American politics or American sanity
Then don’t let the bogus narrative stand unchallenged.
The idea that govt analysts are intrinsically virtuous and true is bullshit.
