The Romney campaign said it took in RSVPs from 14,000 to 15,000 people to the event, though it did not know how many actually came. Apopka Chief Administrative Officer Richard Anderson said earlier the amphitheater had a capacity of about 10,000. The place was overflowing, and most of the last few thousand people, at least, who arrived had to fight through crawling traffic. Many people abandoned their cars along the roads' grassy shoulders and walked a mile or more to get to the park.
But these people were happy to be there together, and having watched Romney's debate performance last week, they were feeling like winners. They thundered a welcome when Romney and his wife, Ann, took stage, then cheered and roared repeatedly through his 23-minute speech.
They and Romney caught a major break when vicious evening thunderstorms rolled over menacingly but passed Apopka by, leaving just a few sprinkled drops.
Romney began by describing the debate as a clear expression of his and Obama's visions for America. But he also portrayed the debate as an opportunity for him to ask questions of Obama that others could or would not on topics ranging from why the health-care law was a bigger priority than jobs and why he was canceling drilling permits on federal lands.
Among new details, Romney promised to double the number of drilling permits approved on federal lands, to open Alaska to more oil exploration and to "build that pipeline from Canada if I have to do it myself."

Mitt Romney: Gangnam style?
Great news from FL!! Thanks for posting!
Great to hear!
It's a Romney Woodstock!
I didn't see the speech but looked for it on youtube...not up yet.
Encouraging news. I hope he’s still practicing hard for the next debate. We can expect a hyper-aggressive Obama trying to hype up a “randomly selected” town hall crowd with class warfare. Romney just has to make sure he remembers that the people in the room don’t matter. The people watching T.V. do. Make sure you present a clear choice. Go after Obama with numbers.
And facts. Numbers and facts. Stay cool and smiling while carpet bombing him with numbers and facts. He’ll be easy prey because he’s sure to come on too strong.
IIRC, the next debate is on foreign policy. The third debate will be the touchy-feely townhall one.
Nice picture.
Do you suppose these folks were bused in? Or, that they're asking for Free Stuff?
Here's what Rob Portman said about the last debate prep (in Vermont)...
Portman says Romneys willingness to fully commit to the prep was striking. Day after day, hed get up early, exercise, and then join the team for hours of work. Advisers certainly played a role, but according to Portman, it was the candidate who drove his advisers. Even when he had a busy week of campaigning, Romney would always find time to study or hold a brief mock debate. It was all him, Portman tells me. Honestly, Ive spent a lot of time with Mitt Romney for the past month or so, and what I saw on stage is who he is. Hes smart, hes articulate, and hes got a big heart.Source: Romneys Playbook
Thanks for those pics...beautiful evening sky!
Sarah got 60,000 in Florida. Where is she Mitt?
I don’t think bringing Palin into the mix at this point is at all wise. I love her, but that would do more harm than good.
I like Sarah a lot. She could have thown her hat in the ring if she had chosen to.
I’m pretty sure she has endorsed Mitt, has she not? If she wants to campaign for him she can surely do so.
Just sayin’.
Apopka is not a really huge city of sorts. this is awesome.
Well, she's not in the White House.
Holy cow that crowd is MASSIVE!! Thanks for posting

My Wife and I were there and it was just incredible! The crowds in a near semi-circle were out about four times the distance that was covered by the Amphitheatre proper. I saw cars parked as far away from the Aphitheatre as two miles! There had to be atleast 20000 people there perhaps more. I think Romney is going to take Florida and therefore likely win the Presidency. God knows we need someone that knows how to develop businesses to be in charge in this country. Oh and someone that knows how to balance a budget!
Ravenstar
YES!
I knew Palin had some big crowds but I didn’t recall anything like the number you cite.
I found a 2008 article about a Palin rally in Clearwater, Florida on October 7, 2008 that drew 3,000. The news report contrasted it with an Obama rally the day before that drew 8,000.

The liberal cfnews13 in Orlando is saying thee were only 3,000 people. lol!!!!
A crowd of about 3,000 people filled the stands at the Fields of Fame Athletic Complex in Apopka to hear Republican candidate for president Mitt Romney speak. FULL STORY

“Mitt Romney: Gangnam style?”
LOL! I finally watched that video. And now I’ve watched it like 10 more times!
Want to see the difference between communism and capitalism, just watch that video and then think of the starving people in NORTH Korea!
North Korea/South Korea, East Germany/West Germany, as some article I read years ago pointed out, here are perfect compare and contrast control groups, you can PLAINLY see which system works better.
Thank you tapatio, those are some fantastic pictures, I saw a small clip of the rally and the crowd was very loud and welcoming.
:)
There are a lot of videos now.
I saw the one with Hyuna and I was so jealous of that fat little pipsqueak Psy!!
Thanks for your personal observations, it sounds like the crowd was pumped. I wonder if we will ever get an accurate count of those that attended.
You took some great pictures! What type of camera are you using? I just took my iphone.
Now he's talking
Go Romney!
Holy smokes that looks like a big crowd. I went to a Bush/Cheney rally pre-2000 election in Sarasota. There wasn’t near that many people there.
I would encourage everyone to watch this Florida speech. Very encouraging and from the heart. Mitt just keeps getting better! It’s only about 27:00, and well worth the time!
sheikdetailfeather was kind enough to provide the link in their earlier post, but just in case you may have missed it, here it is again:

My understanding is that Portman is a good person to practice against. He studies the opposition’s candidate, attempts to use his mannerisms and really tries to get under the skin of the person he is training.
anybody know if he’s going to be anywhere near eastern Washington at any time, or our we just a lost cause....
“I saw the one with Hyuna...”
She’s the gal that’s on the subway train in the first one? She is really gorgeous.
I love how in that vid all the gals have low heeled shoes, I just noticed it, they are all in sneakers, I appreciate that!
That’s her!
and she seems totally different when its not staged:
