Game, set, match for Mitt Romney
San Mateo Daily Journal ^ | October 6, 2012 | Dwight L Schwab

Posted on 10/06/2012 7:36:17 PM PDT by Navy Patriot

The term “cleaned his clock” took on a whole new meaning at Wednesday night’s first presidential debate.

An energized and textbook perfect Mitt Romney dominated a lethargic and tired-looking Barack Obama. To sum up the former governor’s performance, he outhustled, outfacted, outenergized and outinformed the incumbent. The lopsidedness of the verbal brawl was not lost on liberal ideologues such as Bill Maher and Chris Matthews who were quick to raise the white flag in round one of three televised debates this month.

It was as if Romney’s insomnia-inducing convention speech had never happened. The former governor commanded the stage focusing on economic issues and an easy-to-understand philosophy of limited government. He triumphantly mesmerized an estimated 60 million people as a pro-growth tax reformer. A president who would lower the rate and broaden the base in a revenue-neutral fashion.

Could it be he would actually create jobs and spur the economy? The nationwide sales presentation was a masterpiece from start to his effective close.

For many considering Romney for the first time, just maybe his ideas for tax reform could be a solution for which the country is looking. At intervals throughout the debate, Romney respectfully corrected the president on a number of issues including oil tax breaks, health care issues, job training programs in the federal government and even how Obamacare works.

Here's another realistic view of the debate, with a little language that although accurate, would needle the leftists under any circumstances.

Schwab calls himself a moderate conservative, (I'm not sure what that means), but he's done a lot of articles and sticks with the real facts steadfastly rejecting the leftists Bizzaro World fantasy "facts".

On NPR this morning, they actually mocked Romney for being overprepared. Of course, this is all light hearted banter on their weekend game show broadcast. There was one kind of weird reference to him practising in a meat locker in front of slabs of meat. ( I guess like a boxer. ) They did make a joke about Obama staring at the floor because he was looking for a Xanax he dropped.

So of course it was just spin, spin, spin. The gist of it is that none of it really mattered. I much used tactic, actually, “laugh it off”. “You think we care? You’re an idiot.”

That is the paper from my City and I am shocked and delighted at the same time. Very very liberal town San Mateo. Actually I never read that paper because they are so liberal and they have the dumbest polls. They have a weekly column by Sue Lempert who served on the City Council it seemed like 100 years because once a person gets on they stay till they are termed out 12 years I think and most move on and up to the Board of Supervisors, next step the California Legislature and then Washington. Mrs. Lempert is so liberal it is not even funny can not stand her so maybe this fellow is a counter to her.

The next O-R debate is the treacherous Town hall Meeting debate.

Be prepared for the O-care sob stories.

Yeah. Romney had better be prepared for it.

You know there will “coincidentally” be someone there who will die if Romney’s health plan passes, but whose life will be saved if Obamacare remains the law of the land.

If Romney doesn’t have a good response to it (and he has plenty of time to prepare one so he has no excuses), then he will drop just as quickly as he has risen.

Few FReepers actually know how insane the average citizenry in in the Bizzaro World of the nine Bay Area Counties are. The Daily Journal is the farthest right of the area’s print newspapers, and it’s like reading Pravda in the 50’s.

Yes, it would be like this: “ I lost my job and my health care and now I am having trouble feeding my three kids who I wont be able to afford to send to a doctor if the Affordable Health Care Act is repealed. If you take away their health care to pay for tax cuts for the rich we might not survive, Why don't you worry about us too?”

They trotted out a few of these at the DNC.

Heh---betcha snarling, Fang-toothed Moochele's never gonna let Ohaha forget that anniversary----"The Day The Music Died."

=======================================================

So what happened at the debate? Maybe Ohaha was off his meds----maybe he was flustered thinking David Axelrod had screwed-up and had sent him to the wrong venue? Ohaha sure looked like he didn't want to be there.

More likely, deep in their dark inner sanctums, Team Obama came to believe their own hype. They were so certain Obama was The One and Romney was the dribbling idiot they had dreamed up.....who never even hugged his trashman.

The braindead Obamatons didn’t count on how politically nimble, on-point, fact-filled and tactically clever Romney could be in a debate.......up against a sitting president who morphed into a Hush Puppy.

Team Obama thought their wet dreams about Romney were real and that cool, calm Obama would destroy him in a debate.

Huge miscalculation----one The Team won’t make again.....but the damage is already done.

Romney isn’t the same candidate he was before Wed's debate. He’s more credible, more electable, more presidential — and far more of a threat to the Obama strategy.......and is surging ahead in key states.

==============================================

EXPOSED 2008 candidate Obama calculatedly talked about bipartisanship and moderation....said he wanted to be another Reagan ......... but once in office, Obama's true colors showed---he supported and pushed radically liberal policies on an unsuspecting electorate.

That electorate now knows they were duped into supporting a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Ha, that is a good one :-)
A couple other ways to put mega 'SPORTS FAN' Obama's performance into perspective is:
  1. Obama folded like the Chicago Bulls defense during the playoffs.

  2. Obama looked so anemic, I thought I was watching the Chicago White Sox Pitching Staff during the home stretch of the season.
Sports tip: the Bulls blew the playoffs last season in the first round. They totally sucked.
And the Chi White Sox blew a lead in the division standings they held since July and didn't even make the playoffs as a 'Wild Card team' that started last night.

Obama is 'supposed' to be huge fan of the Bulls and White Sox but doesn't even know where they play. Or know one member of either team.

What ever Romney does, should he win the election, will be a far superior example agains’t what Odumbo has done/not done these past four years.

Somehow I ended up on a left wing mailing list of Move On. This is an email re how the left wing progressives feel about the debate:

Dear MoveOn member,

That was infuriating.

During last night’s presidential debate, Mitt Romney smirked his way through dozens of mischaracterizations, distortions, and outright lies. The moderator, Jim Lehrer, never cut him off. And now the mainstream media is saying that Mitt won the debate.

We can’t let Romney “win” the debate on a boatload of lies.

He lied about his tax plan, his deficit plan, and Medicare. He lied about what “Obamacare” would do. He lied, baldly and convincingly, about Obama’s entire presidency.1

We need to move quickly to set the record straight. Our online team worked overnight preparing a media blitz—including online ads targeted at swing-state voters—correcting the worst lies in an easy-to-share format.

Chip in $5 to get the truth out—countering Mitt’s lies.

If we don’t fight back now with the truth, some of those lies will stick, and Romney could pull ahead.

Already, Romney and his Super PAC friends have spent millions on blatantly false ads attacking President Obama for gutting work requirements for welfare and cutting $700 million from Medicare.

Last night was more of the same.

And research shows that when lies get repeated enough times people will believe them—no matter how outlandish they might seem. The only way to keep Romney honest is to make sure the facts get corrected on the spot.

We’re now in the moment when millions of undecided voters who don’t usually pay attention to politics start to focus.

This is it. This is what MoveOn’s massive online network is for. Let’s use it.

Please chip in $5.

Thanks for all you do.

The "Mitt lied" theme popped up all over----and the real questions is if Ohaha thought Mitt was lying on debate night---whey in God's name didnt he say so in front of 50 million viewers?

Other cockamamie excuses for the Hush Puppy President's dog-eared performance:

THIS WAS FUNNY Al Gore said it was "climate change."

THIS WAS EMBARRASSING A Black Georgetown Prof said as a Black man, Obama did not have the white man's lingo to go after Mitt.

They couldn't invent the looney-tune excuses fast enough.

“....I lost my job and my health care and now I am having trouble feeding my three kids...”

My answer would be “You lost your job BECAUSE of this guy over here..” (thumbs toward Obumble) “...and HE obviously wasn’t worried about people losing their jobs with his proven-unworkable failed economic policies. My administration will make sure that there is help available for people who truly need it.”

Something on that order.

I think the thing to do is keep hammering away at his record, $4 gas, unemployment, skyrocketing food prices, etc., and putting the blame where it belongs.

HE’S in charge, HE wanted the job, and HE can’t just go on blaming everyone else for his own lousy performance in the last 4 years.

Heck any of our Pets would do a better job than Obama. I know for a fact our Yellow Lab, 'Honey', is smarter than Obama.

She's at least as smart as a four year old and knows about the same amount of words and their meaning -- and she doesn't need a teleprompter when she greets someone. We can't say the same about O'Dumbo :-)
