Vote Yes Justice Pariente [Florida Supreme Ct AFRAID of Tea Party voting them out!!]
Vote Yes Justice Pariente ^

...We should not be tempted to politicize our courts. Of course, there is nothing wrong about debating the pros and cons of court rulings, but our judges should not be tempted to decide cases based on politics rather than merits. Decisions must be based on honest interpretation of the law. We should demand impartial judges. We do not want them out raising money for campaigns.

There is a big movement in Florida to vote OUT all three liberal justices up for "approval".

Afraid of being booted, Pariente, Quince and Lewis are liberal justices!

And now, they're running scared.

This is good news.

They are advertising on "breibart news" here in Florida.

Florida FREEPers, let's fire these clowns!

Pariente should have been tarred and feathered 12 years ago; she was a key playing in the FL Supreme Court Bush v. Gore debacle.

Vote No all Fla Supremes on ballot. Vote Yes all Florida Constitutional Amendments.

It's simple.

Stay aware of what the enemy is up to! The liberal Supreme Court justices in Tallahassee have started to have advertising done on their behalf.

I have two simple rules of thumb when it comes to voting on sitting judges at all levels:

1. If they they feel the need to raise money to stay on the bench then it is time to vote them off.

2. If they are supported by the liberal print media, vote against them.

Enough said.

I always vote “no” on retention....most Florida judges are quite liberal...from the circuit courts all the way to the FL SCOTUS. Even as the state goes further for the GOP..we seem to have way too many liberal judges

All these three will get a NO vote from me

it is disgusting to see the MANDATORY membership bar BS the members and the public with thier education campaign (using bar dues lawyers HAVE to pay) to fund these reelection campaigns. They are forbidden from taking sides but the disembling by claiming the obvious is only an education campaign allows them to claim the status of the purity of mud.

Around here, Republicans hand out sample ballots in front of the polls on election day, showing which candidates and ballot measures the Republican party favors.

Will the Florida Reps have the balls to put "vote no for all three judges" on their sample ballots?

Outside influences or the fear of partisan retribution should not deter justices from their primary mission of rendering fair and impartial decisions based on the current law. If anyone should become upset about a decision, change the law, do not attack a court or a judge that is merely interpreting the law.

I quite agree.

Unfortunately, judges often drift over into rewriting the law to their own preferences, and if they insist on injecting themselves into the political process, they shouldn't be surprised if the political process fights back.

supreme court judges (state and federal)

make law by interpriting law.

that is why when a USSC candiate who is asked “will you respect stare decisis?” is a 100% BS question by the persons asking and answering. The USSC ROUTINELY ignores or deliberatly overturns past rulings.

our judges should not be tempted to decide cases based on politics rather than merits.

Has the author paid any attention to the U.S. Supreme Court's decisions at all. The majority have been political. As long as judges are human beings their decisions will be influenced by politics whether they are elected or appointed. But at least when they are elected they can be removed by the voters.
