Letterman Suggests Romney Didn't Pay Taxes, Calls Him A "Felon"

Late night TV host David Letterman has suggested that Mitt Romney is a “felon” because he does not pay income tax, despite the Republican presidential nominee recently releasing IRS documents showing he paid nearly $2 million just in 2011.
Letterman, host of CBS’ “Late Show,” made the statement Friday night when telling the audience about a recent poll on what Americans would most like to see, reported first by the website NewsBusters.
Letterman said that 6 percent of Americans wanted to see Romney’s tax returns.
"Yeah, we want to get a look at those tax returns because I believe we will discover that the man has not paid a nickel in United States federal income tax," Letterman said. "That’s right, we have a felon running for president."

I remember just after 9/11, Crystal showed up on Letterman and was trying to tell the story of how great it was to have “W” arrive in the celeb box at Yankee Stadium, the day “W” threw out the first pitch. Crystal was like a kid and wanted to share the excitement - he is a great baseball fan and is featured in Ken Burns’ documentary. He was about to give his impression of and a great story about “W”.
Anyway, Letterman shut him up with such hatred of Bush so fast it was horrible to watch.
I’ve seen Letterman maybe three times since he had Hillary on in 2000 and then he turned to the dark side the day after (well a week after- he went in for emergency coronary bypass surgery that day).
They got to Crystal, who still has funny moments.
He didn’t say anything hateful about Mitt nor republicans the other night. He made fun of Mitt and he cracked us up.
We’re laughing all the way to the Polls on Nov 6 (from my lips to God’s ears).

I can remember when Letterman used to be funny and enjoyable to watch......my stepfather was still alive. I think my stepfather passed in 85.
