CBS: CBS News has learned that congressional investigators have issued a subpoena to a former top security official at the US mission in Libya. The official is Lt. Col. Andy Wood, a Utah National Guard Army Green Beret who headed up a Special Forces "Site Security Team" in Libya. The subpoena compels Lt. Col. Wood to appear at a House Oversight Committee hearing next week that will examine security decisions leading up to the Sept. 11 Muslim extremist terror assault on the U.S. compound at Benghazi. U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three of his colleagues were killed in the attack. Lt. Col. Wood has told CBS News and congressional investigators that his 16-member team and a six-member State Department elite force called a Mobile Security Deployment team left Libya in August, just one month before the Benghazi assault. Wood says that's despite the fact that US officials in Libya wanted security increased, not decreased. Wood says he met daily with Stevens and that security was a constant challenge. There were 13 threats or attacks on western diplomats and officials in Libya in the six months leading up to the September 11 attack. A senior State Department official told CBS News that half of the 13 incidents before September 11 were fairly minor or routine in nature, and that the Benghazi attack was so lethal and overwhelming, that a diplomatic post would not be able to repel it.

Imagine if this happened under GWB? 24/7 MSM coverage running polls asking if GWB should resign or drop out of the race.

How in the world did they (the administration) think they were going to be able to cover this up? It boggles the mind that they thought they’d be able to do this to people who do security/intelligence for a living.
This topic better be the first words out of Gov. Romney’s lips in that third debate. It is pissing me off to no end, that this topic isn’t getting wider play.
We have six dead Americans in Libya and not one apology or look of remorse from Obama or Hillary. That is psychopathic. They’re not just thieves, they’re psychopaths. They lack even the most fundamental of human emotions. And the media covers for them saying, “We didn’t kill those people or steal that money! We just covered for those other Democrats that killed those people and stole that money.” Sick sick sick.
The biggest part of the coverup is to coverup Hillary’s failure as Sec. of State. They first offered up Rice to take the hit, but everyone asked why the Ambassador to the UN was making statements, completely wrong and not the responsibility of the UN ambassador. Although the coverup protects the Food Stamp President somewhat, the emphasis is on protecting Hillary for possible 2016.
God please protect Lt. Col. Andy Wood. ANYTHING’S possible with this administration, especially with a Clinton involved; Vince Foster, Ron Brown, numerous Arkansas State Troopers, etc, etc..

What’s that? If the Obama camp wants to act as if something won’t get done without money set aside for it, hows come that didn’t stop them from laying out $165M for the Illinois prison, which is completely unfunded?
Zero would give GITMO prisoners new digs and a place to meet with their relatives and MB bruthas, sooner than they would protect a threatened US Ambassador begging for more security! (That should play really well in Peoria!)

Also interesting that one of those killed communicated over the internet with friends earlier in the day (9-11) that he hoped they survived the day.
What did he know in advance?
