Lord in Jesus name we ask that this little girl be found alive and unharmed, and returned to her home, Amen.
Please God find this little girl.
Gawd, please bring her home, well and alive.
Any information on how she went missing?
Snatched out of her bedroom in the middle of the night?
Offered a ride by a stranger and never seen again?
Disappeared while walking home from school?
Or one of her parents, involved in a divorce, snatched her?
Inquiring minds want to know.
I read a little online yesterday. She disappeared on her way to school (she was on foot and never made it to school which was close by). The police did find her backpack and water bottle. There is a separation between the parents but the article that I read stated the father was not a person of interest. To be honest, I pray the Dad does have her (safe and sound, of course) rather than some homicidal perv. Prayers for this little girl’s safe return.
Thanks for the info. I, too, hope Dad has her with him.
A pick-up by a third-party while she’s walking to school is generally done by someone who will abuse and kill her quckly, then dump the body in a hurry.
This looks bad, and I hope I’m wrong.
There is a lot to this case that doesn’t make sense. The Mother (according to some online reports) lives with the girl’s Grandmother and Aunt. The Mother gets home at 7:30 and sent her daughter off to school. The girl commonly walks to a nearby park, meets up with a group of friends and they all then walk to school. She never made it to the park. What I don’t understand is why the Mother didn’t receive the voice mail or message that the daughter didn’t show up. If my kids are at school, my cellphone is right next to me (in case one is sick or there is an emergency). That being said, the park in question had an attempted rape of a young adult woman not too long ago. Predator?
I drive my 17 year old to the bus stop down the block her bus comes at 6:20 am . I don’t let my 9 year old leave my site. How can you let a child this age walk alone to a park?
I am amazed at how many parents allow little ones to walk alone. About ten years back, we had a van attempt to get an elementary school girl to get into the vehicle on our street. A residential street literally one block away from the school. Most people were frightened but I did see two kids (one kindergarten age and the sibling was about 2nd grade) walking up the street, ALONE, the next morning. The next morning after the incident! The parents had to know since the school sent home a letter from the principal and sent a telephone message.
I think people feel that kids in a group are safer. Perhaps that is true but I know little kids are horrible witnesses. Ask a child info about an abductor.. you get, “he was big” or the “car was white”. All adults are big and all cars are simply just cars. Even if this girl was abducted right in front of her friends, there would be very little factual info for the police. The fact that the backpack was found miles away from where the girl was supposed to be is not a good sign to me at all. I pray I am wrong.
We are struggling with this because my wife knew the little girl. Please pray for Jessica.
Thank you.
Thank you for the update. Was out when I saw the post from you. Too sad. I feared that would be the case. Prayers for her family and everyone that knew her if it is indeed the little girl.
News confirmed it was her. :(
Very sad. Scary that a monster is still out there. If I’m remembering correctly from a post of yours long ago to me, you are familiar with this kind of pain. I don’t know how people go on when it’s any family member, but especially a young, innocent child.
I did a little Internet research yesterday. There are approx 30 convicted Sex Offenders in her neighborhood and surrounding area. I am betting that one of the guys is the perp.
Profiling the ba$tard, I believe that the guy has been convicted before, spent time in jail, and didn't want to be caught.
We could easily cruise the neighborhoods looking for those on the list but that is the job of the police plus we don't want to interfere with the investigation.
It was only a couple of blocks in the late morning when people were going to work. She was 10 years old. Times have changed, I guess.
We adults need to pay attention more.
Prayers for her family. I cannot imagine what they must be going through. I read that this poor child’s body had been dismembered (which delayed identification). I pray that law enforcement catches this evil predator. Rest easy with the Lord, little Jessica.
