The race to the White House can be ugly and cruel, an inconvenient truth that rears its ugly head in U.S. politics every four years. Unfortunately, there will always be those who reserve pure, unadulterated hatred for anyone they disagree with.
Nothing displays that fact more clearly than the dozens of horrific death threats made against GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney via Twitter, which were uncovered Sunday night. South Carolina attorney Todd Kincannon, who is also the former executive director of the South Carolina Republican Party, took notice of the intense hatred coming from the left and directed the threatening messages to the Secret Service and FBI’s official Twitter accounts.

When people on the right do this, it’s always a credible death threat that must be investigated, and popular conservative politicians or pundits blamed.
When lefties do it, it’s just a joke, or a harmless fictional exercise like that Bush assassination flick that was around a while back.

My biggest assassination concern is for the President. I am actually very worried that someone will take him out. If that happens it will not be a conservative. The assassin will be a hard-core leftist, but will try to make it look like it was a conservative. Watch for this if it happens or if there is an attempt on his life.
The conservatives have no motive to shoot him. After 4 long years of Zippy in the WH, we are finally going to be rid of him on Nov 6. Why would we screw that up now? The left are seeing their dreams collapse, especially after Zippy’s unmasking in the debate.
The left has plenty of motivation. If they can shoot him and make it look like it was done by a conservative, they will immediately turn him into a martyr. Money quote of the day! FWIW I was deployed to a Central Asian republic that was under the USSR for seventy years (Uzbekistan). What they told me there was that everything bad I had ever heard about communism was true, in spades. Especially the midnight arrests & relatives who disappeared.
But for some strange reason these Uzbeks were horrified at the extent of our gun rights, especially handgun ownership. To them, a handgun was solely a tool of authority & there were only two kinds of people; those holding the handgun, and those looking down the barrel.
Teaching them than gun ownership in America was a guarantor of our freedoms rang hollow with them; they believed the old Tass propaganda that all of the U.S. was like Detroit after midnight, with criminal shots ringing out everywhere.

If you go to twitchy.com there was an article yesterday about this. The person that tweeted a threat suddenly tweeted, I was just joking. HAHAHA I’m guessing that the Secret Service paid a visit.
