Reuters) - Republican Mitt Romney has erased U.S. President Barack Obama's advantage in the presidential race and the two candidates are now tied among likely voters, according to a Reuters/Ipsos tracking poll released on Tuesday.

With the November 6 election four weeks away, Romney and Obama each command 45 percent, the daily tracking poll found.

Obama held a steady lead in the poll for most of September, but Romney narrowed the gap following a strong debate performance last week. Obama had been leading by 2 percentage points in the last poll on Sunday.

Voters' personal views of Romney improved across a wide range of attributes following the debate, the poll found.

The online survey of 1,157 likely voters was conducted between October 5 and October 9. The precision of the poll is measured using a credibility interval, which is plus or minus 3.3 percentage points.

Historically Reuters/Ipso polls track to the Left of reality. So if even they are showing a tie, Obama is deep in the hurt locker.

Tied in Reuters? That means Romney is probably up by 10% at least.

As usual, this begs the question — What is the D/R/I sampling breakdown of this poll?

Are Dems being oversampled again?

Keep in mind that IPSO means lying sack on crap in some foreign language. The fact that the sampling break down is not given is very telling.

Yep, this needs to be shown with every poll if possible.

Even if this actually is a poll that’s representative of reality, O’s only at 45%. We all know that the incumbent doesn’t get many of the undecideds, so even if it’s accurate, it’s great news.

The debate showed Americans subjected to that “I don’t wanna appear to be a racist, I don’t have any conservative leadership to look up to, I don’t wanna contradict the prevailing MSM vision of our Messiah” that there is, indeed, real hope yet.

It showed Obama for what he really is - a boob. No amount of excuses for his performance, nor caterwauling about Romeny’s lies, etc. etc. could erase that fact.

Romney wiped his ass with Obama, pure and simple. The American people know it, the Democrats know it, the MSM knows it, and Republicans know it. And, it is now okay to dissent, it is okay to pick someone else now that he’s been shown for what he is.

It is chilling that so many are still star struck by Obama. I call them Zero’s Zombies. The public schools have done their job with values larification, situational ethics, and anti-God policies! If these figures are not contrived, we are truly doomed!

NOTHING in life is ever perfect. Certainly nothing in politics ever is. Back in the 1980s people like you were ranting how Reagan had betrayed the Conservative movement. Now you all want to claim him as your political god father.

A rational adult accepts that 85% of something is better then 100% of what you stand against. Romney will work with you, Obama will work against you. A rational adult mind would accept 85% of something is better then 100% of nothing.

And spare me the self serving rhetoric about waiting for 2016. I have been hearing the same thing from you die harders since 1988. You always want to excuse your inaction this election by claiming you will get them next election. Well we are at the last ditch now. There is no more falling back. You either stand here or there will be no place left to stand.

So just strip away the self serving rationalizations and admit sour grapes that your candidate did not win the 2012 GOP nomination is the motivating factor here.
