Washington Post reporter Aaron Blake told CNN on Tuesday that candidate George W. Bush "just didn't pay a high enough price" in the 2000 election for his DUI arrest that occurred more than 20 years prior.

Blake was talking about famous "October surprises," or unforseen events occurring in the month before the election that could be game-changing. The Bush DUI revelation was a hit job planted by a Democratic source that mushroomed into a big story because of the liberal media.

Me to. In the lates ‘70s and early ‘80s, the cops would just say, go home, if we see you again, we’ll give you a ticket or take you in.

Then Candy Lightener came along with MADD.

Paragraph (4)

Despite the way the press still reports it, GWB was never convicted of DUI, DWI or any other alcohol elated driving offense.

I stand to be corrected but I seem to remember Rush Limbaugh going to bat for GWB. Anyway, the speaker on the radio, mentioned the driver was pulled over and was going very slowly. He said the the driver was being extra careful and not speeding.

Anyway. I got my first vehicle which was a 55 Ford. I thank God to this day that I never was involved in an accident while drinking. I will say only one thing as I sadly read of tragedy along these lines. Absolutely squeaky clean these last twenty years.

There, but for the grace of God go I.

BDS is a serious mental disorder. Might be lifetime plauge for some of the weaker minded. It’s their guts they are rotting.
