Obama's ring: 'There is no god but Allah'

NEW YORK – As a student at Harvard Law School, then-bachelor Barack Obama’s practice of wearing a gold band on his wedding-ring finger puzzled his colleagues.

WND EXCLUSIVE

Now, newly published photographs of Obama from the 1980s show that the ring Obama wore on his wedding-ring finger as an unmarried student is the same ring Michelle Robinson put on his finger at the couple’s wedding ceremony in 1992.

Moreover, according to Arabic-language and Islamic experts, the ring Obama has been wearing for more than 30 years is adorned with the first part of the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada: “There is no God except Allah.”

Corsi’s gone off the deep end; pushing the Gilbert propaganda as well. Corsi cannot be trusted at all anymore. WND should know better.

Thanks Danny, this ring has been discussed on many threads over time. Was nice to see the huge enlargement of it.

Deep end might be a little deeper than intended...seems to me they chose the end that might do the liar-in-chief zero the most damage in the short term just before the election -but as you so succinctly pointed out in prior communications, a lie is a lie regardless who tells it and the ENDS never justify the MEANS.
Gilbert appears to have become the wunderkind for WND and he’s now being described as an expert on islam...not just the man who placed Stanley Ann Dunham in bed with Frank Marshall Davis on the basis of fake photographs and false addresses.
Joel Gilbert, the poor man’s Michael Moore, not fat, but ugly as a hatful of assholes none-the-less. Ugly in his intent as well. Ugly soul, that one.
It’s the easy way out that leads into a dead-end and makes them all look like a bunch of flim-flammers. Pity. WND deserves a better outcome after all the good work they have done over a long period of time.
I see Gilbert’s hand in this mess as well. Sometimes a gold african elephant hair-ring is just a gold african elephant hair-ring...and not every culture on earth wears a wedding ring, it is after all, a Western custom iirc and only the Good Lord knows to which culture zero belongs...

From the article: ...Filmmaker Joel Gilbert, an expert on Islamic history, noted Obama wore the ring during his high-profile speech in Cairo on June 4, 2009, in the first months of his presidency...

I think a true expert on islamic history might have known that the speech zero made in Cairo on June 4, 2009 was at the al-Azhar University (mosque) where Malcolm X studied 'true' sunni islam for several months before he made the hajj in April 1964. Malcolm X actually made his LAST speech in the Middle East at the same venue where zero made his FIRST.

Thank you for that very interesting detail. A real researcher would have ferreted out that piece of information and used it in his research. Not spewed out bilged pretending it’s truth. Obvious that Gilbert doesn’t believe his own spew. Almost as though he was tasked with the job.

Excellent comments, FN!! It certainly appears that Gilbert was tasked with the job of creating yet another false life for Zero; perhaps with good intentions but WND’s reputation is going to get tarred badly, which is as you note, not a good thing. I wonder if Farah or those who work for him realized what’s going on. I would suppose they do; I don’t think they’re stupid.

“Poor man’s Michael Moore” - that’s good! I haven’t seen a photo of Gilbert but that’s probably just as well. Had a peek into his mind and that was more than enough.

I realize that in war, sometimes duplicity and secrets and false info are needed to defeat the enemy. But this nonsense is the wrong way to go about fighting. Lies should be fought with truth, not more lies. Besides that, those who like 0bastard are not going to either believe or care about Gilbert’s little mockumentary. All it’s really done is create problems and dissension for those who don’t like Zero.

You can't tell what's in a BOOK by looking at the cover, but you can tell a lot about people from how they choose to present themselves...

Just because he’s been wearing it since his youth on the finger one normally wears a wedding ring, doesn’t make it a wedding ring. There’s nothing normal about zero.

I was surprised to see the high resolution ring photo, but I should know better since it's WND.

Male wedding rings are a recent invention as well, before the 1940s, less than 20% of weddings in the US were double-ring. After the jewelry industry got together and pushed the idea for a double-ring ceremony, that went up to 80%+.

If you look at my parents' generation (WWII), my dad never had a wedding ring, and my mother had a simple band for many years. Even people of my generation, a lot of the men don't have them.

I had an uncle who was a jeweler, he had quite a few interesting stories concerning the industry (especially the diamond producers) and how they convinced Americans and Europeans of the need for for rings or diamond/engagement rings, etc. The industry did a good job of fooling us into buying fancy rings, that's for sure.

What if Gilbert is there to embarass the right by creating false stories and getting people to play them up?

Who’s the man in the small insert?

Of course a person cannot help the features they are born with, but expressions reveal consciousness, and faces mirror one’s state of mind over time.

Guy looks as though he’s seriously into marijuana/other.

Yes indeed, that thought occurred to me after I posted that comment. Plus, the new myth “FMD/Daddy and SAD/Mommy” creates a natural born citizen.

A lot of men don’t like to wear them because they are dangerous or cumbersome when doing a lot of work. They can get caught on machinery, etc.

It’s a relief if it’s been debunked. That’s one story I don’t want to be true. Too scary. The ‘pattern’ isn’t arabic - that’s obvious - I thought the writing was ‘on; the pattern. Do you have a link?

Just dang...and sometime today (I think) I read that Glenn Beck’s “The Blaze” published a report citing a Duke prof. who confirmed what WND said. Are we watching the X-Files? Trust No One?
