Obama is a joke to us, but not to his supporters.

And his supporters, IMO, have the backing of some shady characters.

We are fighting evil, never forget that.

Media Bias Summed Up in Two Photos

There was a nice human interest story on the campaign trail yesterday, but the AP found a way to muss it up. You rarely see media bias as blatant as you do in a comparison of the following two photos.

Mitt Romney's motorcade was passing Fairfield Elementary School in Virginia when the Governor saw kids waiving and decided to make a U-turn and pull over. The kids were excited to meet Romney, according reporters on the scene:

"Are you Mitt Romney?" asked one awed student.

"I am Mitt Romney," he replied. "And that's your governor. That's Governor McDonnell."

"I just saw you on TV!" exclaimed one little girl who was almost overcome with excitement.

As you can see in this ABC video, Romney shook hands with a long line of 4th and 5th graders and got a big "Thank you" when he was done. Sometime before leaving, a member of his staff took this photo:

Is this a big moment in the race? Of course not. If Romney had kept driving no one would have mentioned it. But it's nice that Romney pulled over and spent a few minutes with the kids. It humanizes him and makes him even seem sort of likable.

Enter the AP's Evan Vucci.

Just before the previous image was taken, AP photographer Vucci snapped a shot of Romney mid-crouch. The girl behind him is looking at something in surprise which we can't see from this angle. But it looks like, well, like she's staring at his butt:

So instead of a nice moment, which this actually was for the kids and for Mitt Romney, we now have an embarrassing photo guaranteed to make an appearance on Gawker. But not just at Gawker. It was the highlighted photo of the day at ABC. It was the top of the otherwise favorable story at the NY Daily News. It appeared on the websites of local papers around the country.

The silly part is that parents (who have the ability to see what their kids are looking at) will look at the photo and immediately realize the girl is NOT looking at Mr. Romney’s posterior. Her eyelids are in the way. Whatever she is looking at is lower to the ground and off to the side (out of the crop).

The liberal media has always been biased in its photo selection, but there is something Norman Rockwell-esque about the photo in question.

Please this is nothing but more agitprop from the LSM

You are correct. These are professionals. This is what they do for a living each day. They look at many photos and spend considerable time deciding which one to run with. The specifically chose this one out of bias.

When they saw it, they should have gotten a good chuckle out of it, perhaps printed it out and posted it in the newrooms but they never should have made an editorial decision to publish the picture.

Alinsky Rule #5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.

So Mitt as such a great ass that even a 12 year old notices?

Four years ago there where tons of Obama physique pictures in the media. They were used to contrast the young and vibrant Obama against the old and haggard McCain.

Hands up for those who remember the pictures of “abs” Obama.

OK - it's a stupid picture, but four years ago if that had been Obama, it would have gotten lots of positive press.

Sorry, but she is looking directly at Romney’s butt and saying, “Oh, I didn’t realize Obama was visiting today.”

http://www.brazosnow.com/politics/national-media-bullies

“The AP photographer was obviously at the scene. He must have taken dozens of photos (digital “film” is very cheap these days). Why didn’t the AP publish a photo similar to the campaign photo? Apparently, since pictures are worth a thousand words, a risque-seeming photo featuring a minor schoolchild was too good a story to pass up.

The media berates us with Nanny-State Do-Goodisms constantly. Among the constant media moralizing is a focused campaign against bullying (there are even hints that Gov. Romney “bullied” Pres. Obama during the last debate). For a media obsessed with bullying, didn’t any of the editors at AP stop for even a moment to consider how publishing that photo would affect the unnamed girl?

In order to get a cheap campaign gotcha-thrill, an unknown preteen girl is fair game for the national media. If she gets picked on relentlessly because of this photo, what of it?

After all, it’s only bullying if it’s being done by somebody else…

The AP should be ashamed of themselves. National. Media. Bullies.”

yes- he’s in the midst of the act of crouching-his head from other photo is finally a few inches lower and the girl is showing astonishment he’s making the effort to get ‘down to their size’, clearly her eyes are looking at his side.

AP pigs.

I'd read yesterday that one of the girls' classmates was crawling up to the front to get in the picture.

It would account for both the surprised look on her face and the angle she is looking towards.
