MILLER: Obama is even losing Hollywood

Enthusiasm for president fades in his most liberal base
President Obamas star is fading, even in Hollywood. With less than four weeks until the election, polls are moving in Mitt Romneys direction. So Mr. Obama has had to spend valuable time courting a part of his base that he hasnt had to worry about before: rich celebrities.
After a disastrous showing in the debate, Mr. Obama saw the need to swing through Tinseltown to buck up his supporters. The first stop Sunday was an unusual closed-door, off-the-record meeting for a dozen donors who had maxed out their contributions. Joined by celebrity President Clinton, Mr. Obama spent two hours soothing jagged nerves at DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenbergs house.
Mr. Obama repeated his second-term pitch to 150 people, who paid $25,000 to eat at a chi-chi Wolfgang Puck restaurant with movie star George Clooney, film studio honcho Harvey Weinstein and Oscar host Seth MacFarlane.
~snip~
This late in the race, wasting time courting celebrities in a solid blue state demonstrates the lack of enthusiasm for Mr. Obamas candidacy. Perhaps he should have asked for a star on Hollywoods Walk of Fame to cement his place in La-La Land.

"This late in the race, wasting time courting celebrities in a solid blue state demonstrates the lack of enthusiasm for Mr. Obamas candidacy." Money quote. Right on target.
The party's over, Barky. Start packing, and keep your damn hands off the silver.

California will be closer than many people might think. I live in Hollyweird and there are NO Obama signs here, except on old junk Toyotas and outside Sect 8 housing. Turnout for this election is going to heavily favor Romney.
2008- you couldn't walk 10 feet without seeing some Obama merchandise somewhere. It's all gone now as people curse the Imam every time they fill their gas tank.
I'll back you up on that. I'm in Sherman Oaks - I've only seen one Obama bumper sticker (on my wacko leftist neighbor's car), but amazingly enough, I have seen Romney/Ryan bumper stickers in . . . wait for it . . . Encino!
And I know there are more Romney supporters even in my apartment building - we talk to each other, but we don't put anything on our cars (fear of keying or worse).

Obama is looking at a red map.
From Alaska to Florida.
I don't know about Hawaii, but that's where he'll be spending next winter.
DC will be blue. All the more reason to dis it.

"Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the [$8-$10/gal] levels in Europe." - Barack Obama's Energy Secretary Steve Chu. Had enough yet???

I've sized mine to fit twelve to a sheet of easy to remove bumper sticker stock...
I will send a dozen stickers to anyone who FReepmails me their address.
I will send the Excel file to anyone who FReepmails me their email address, PROVIDED they promise to only use removable stock.

And I hope that these Hollywood idiots are giving Obama their money while reciting that stupid U-TUBE pledge of allegiance to him with their hands over their stupid, precious liberal hearts. Right arm thrust forward, palm down.

I wish nothing but very bad things to all of Hollywood's Obama supporters. I have no sympathy for those people especially when they croak someday.

Seriously? Ill have to see it to beleive it Im afraid- Let not your heart be troubled. Damned little visible support for Obama in Silicon Valley.
I've seen maybe a few dozen bumper stickers (ONE even mentioned Biden!). Last go around I'd see that many in a day.
Yard signs? I don't recall a single one.

I dont know how close it will be, but the lack of Obammy propaganda is evident. The thrill is gone, but these libs would never vote for a Republican. Perhaps not, but they will vote for Libertarian, Peace and Freedom and Green party presidential candidates.

Indeed - imagine my dismay, horror and hilarity when I received my Sample Ballot and saw the Peace and Freedom ticket of Roseanne Barr/Cindy Sheehan.

Same here regarding yard signs for 0bammy - none, zero, zilch... It’s weird, almost like there isn’t an election 4 weeks away. If it weren’t for the local races, you would see nothing. Oh, and I have actually seen 2 Romney signs. So my polling shows a 2-0 blowout by Romney... If this state, by a miracle directly from the hand of Almighty God, turned red this year, I would be on cloud 9.

Were you dismayed because they were on the ballot, or dismayed at the thought that even those two would be an improvement over Obama and Biden?
