Liberal, secular 'infidels' must be prosecuted, says Brotherhood preacher

Liberals, modernists and secularists are infidels and must be brought to trial for abandoning Islam, according to an ultra-conservative preacher in the Muslim Brotherhood.

In a video posted on the YouTube channel of the privately owned newspaper Al-Shorouk newspaper on Sunday, preacher Wagdy Ghoneim said: “If they do not repent, the judge must apply the penalty for apostasy.

“If anyone tells you that he is liberal, tell him directly that he is infidel.”

Earlier this month, Ghoneim caused controversy after issuing a fatwa — an Islamic religious edict — that said joining the Constitution Party, led by Nobel laureate Mohamed ElBaradei, is forbidden by Islam. Calling it an “infidel” party, Ghoneim said he refused to recognize secular, liberal or leftist political movements.

Members of the Constitution Party subsequently filed a complaint against Ghoneim, saying that he had defamed and insulted their party and its members.

George Ishaq, a founding member of the Constitution Party, told Al-Masry Al-Youm that Ghoneim is inciting sedition.

Former liberal MP Amr Hamzawy refused to comment on Ghoneim’s remarks, telling Al-Masry Al-Youm that “we shouldn’t respond to such fatwas.”

How Can Kamal Abbas be Sentenced to Jail Now in Egypt?

...In the aftermath of what so many of us continue to hope still promises a future of revolutionary change I couldn’t believe when I received a message yesterday from Constanza La Mantia, one of our delegation from Palermo, Italy, forwarding to me the fact that Eric Lee and Labour Start in the United Kingdom are preparing to launch a petition drive in protest of Abbas being sentenced to 6 months in jail. Her message this morning and a check on the Internet confirmed that even in the post-Mubarak period the effort to silence genuine voices of dissent and independence continues....

Wayne Rathke reports. Rathke and a bunch of them were over there last year teaching the Egyptians their art. Didn’t work out so well for some... I’d love to get that SOB, he keeps a nasty post he wrote about Andrew Breitbart (RIP), on his front page.

The irony continues...beheading won’t be long. If all these events were happening with a Republican president we’d be hiding annihilated by their wrath.

It is called taqiya and acceptable to lie about your beliefs to infidels if you fear reprisals.

“Liberals, modernists and secularists are infidels and must be brought to trial for abandoning (the cause)”

Pretty much what the left WOULD DO here regarding conservatives - if they could only figure out a way to do that. It’s tough for them, for their real objective is not defeating conservatives, it’s “re-educating” conservatives to their cause, using labor camps if need be.

Sorry, but that’s how the left has operated in every country where they obtain power - they know their “grandiose promises” don’t have a prayer, since Socialism can never, never, work - so they know they cannot get re-elected - so they resort to whatever it takes to hold power, which can be rigging elections (i.e., Chavez), or gulags.

Islam is such a powerful idea that if you don’t submit to it we have to kill you.
