Iranian media say a U.S. think tank reports Tehran can strike the "Israeli nuclear complex at Dimona or the Israeli airbases without drawing the United States into a war."
The state-controlled Fars News Agency reported Wednesday that a group of U.S. presidential advisers at the Wilson Center warned that Iran could engage in at least token missile/rocket strikes against the attacker, targeting sites in Israel or U.S. facilities in the region.
The advisers allegedly said that the Obama administration should avoid any military adventurism against Iran because it could backfire.
"According to unclassified estimates, Iran probably has at least two dozen and possibly more than 100 conventionally armed ballistic missiles capable of striking most of the region, including Israel," the think tank was reported to have said.
Israel last week downed a drone, presumably launched by the Iranian-financed Hizbullah terrorist organization. The UAV may have been programmed to fly over the nuclear reactor near Dimona. Instead, it made a U-turn and flew over rural areas north of Beer Sheva before being downed by a missile from an F-16 jet.
A visit to the Wilson Center site reveals that it is jointly sponsoring an event on Friday featuring businessman and author Khosrow B. Semnani, a former Iranian who has written The Ayatollahs Nuclear Gamble: the Human Cost of Military Strikes against Iran's Nuclear Facilities.
He has been quoted in TIME and The Atlantic that a military strike on Iran could cause thousands of fatalities.

If that should happen, and the Muslim weirdos are crazy enough to do it, it will be Obama’s fault for ham-stringing Israel’s defense of its land. Another “mission accomplished” for this Muslim-sympathizer.
0bummer’s maybe cut a secret deal w/ Iran? Another “October Surprise”?
They cant, but they think they can.
Both Hitler and Napoleone thought they could invade Russia and get away with it.
Bad things happen and a lot of people suffer and get hurt when bad guys think they can get away with things that they cant
Obama is encouraging bad guys everywhere to start thinking about getting away with a lot of bad things
I wonder if anyone has associated the Iranian nuclear progress with Obamas performance last week. If we are going to do something soon—this weekend would be the time. That order needed to be given at least ten days before any attack—just to get the assets in place.
New Moon on the 15th.
It was nice of Obama to give the Iranians one of our drones to copy.
All the more reason for Israel to launch an EMP attack on Iran, given that we will do nothing (but condemn Israel). They face a mortal threat from a self-declared enemy of this country, yet Bathhouse Barry not only doesn’t care, he’s actively hindered Israel’s efforts at self-preservation.
Some non-nuclear EMP weapons launched from the Arabian sea and shaped to do minimal damage to the neighbors would get the job done. Iran would instantly be pushed back a hundred years.
Using this technique, the attacks could be strategic. No reason to criple the entire country. Just take out the infrastructure surrounding the nuclear facilities. Job done. And no direct human casualties.
I doubt the iranians could do much better than hit a city sized target.
