The cspan callers are amazing. All of the independent line callers, and even most of the democrats are speaking passionately against the State dept testifiers.

The discussion is about the enemy attack in Libya, presumably by Al Qaeda.
It seems to me that the metaphor for serious danger, ie the enemy has penetrated the perimeter and is in fact within the building, would describe the enemy in Libya as Al Qaeda rather than the Afghanistan related Taliban.

Maggie, when I first heard him say “inside the building” I also thought he meant the government/State Dept as a whole. But, the more I think about it maybe he meant Obama being in the White House. I too need to hear him say it again in context.
