If you Google the words 'completely wrong' and click on Google Images, you get pages of photos of Romney.

The algorithms are selecting from Romney pix associated with articles about how he claimed his 47% remarks were “completely wrong”.

Calm down, Charlie.

That is because they are all tied to the comment Romney made today saying that his “47% remark” was “completely wrong.” I am very disappointed in Romney after he seemed to get some mojo the last few days.

Did you also notice that the photos you pulled up accompany stories with the headline that Romney said he was 'completely wrong' on the 47% stuff?

Given they're so recent, that's why they popped up.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

And you are completely wrong to be so mad. Romney uttered those exact words, in walking back his comments about the 47%.

Reminds me of a story a friend of mine in HR told me.

Some headhunter kept emailing her a resume of some candidate. But she never received the attachment. He kept sending it over and over, but each time the resume attachment did not make it through.

Turned out that since the guy had graduated “Magna CUM Laude” the porn/spam filters would not let it thru.

Why would anyone use Google for anything?

Yes, but if you google “loser socialist” - you get images of Obama, with a few Michael Moore photos sprinkled in.

Google search algorithms are compilations and estimates based on the totality of searches made. I don’t think it shows Google execs are attaching certain words to Romney, rather it shows that leftists may tend to use certain words when searching about Romney, and conservatives also use certain words when searching Obama.

In sum - it shows that leftists and conservatives indeed do not think in the same ways!

Alright, alright, I get it.

A leftist site was gloating over it and I believed their tone.

My bad.

Yes, that sounds like a leftist site. The difference between Conservatives and Leftists, and a site like FR and others, is that people on FR often will have enough technical expertise to explain details, and also will do so (for the most part) in a civil tone, without dropping nasty words or insults

Also, I have found FR has more intellectually honest people, like yourself, who will admit when new info has changed their mind. Its why I keep coming back!

Keep up the good fight!

I started a site using one of those freebie boards.
(it bombed)
Anyhow,I experimented with searching my site by repeatedly searching for it. Also, by putting keywords on my site. It didn’t take me very long, although it took a lot of monotonous work, before my site was listed on the second page of a google search.
Short story long.. If I would have kept going I could have got it on the first page.

Dont use Google products. Ever. Gmail, Google search, and all of their other crap is just spyware. Use Bing for search and Outlook.com for email.

Why do we expect Google to be more than it is. It is a tool for looking up things. I certainly don’t look to Google for my principles or anything. We expect too much from Google. Just look up information you need and be done with it. Google is just a tool for goodness sake. If you are looking for goodness in a company, you are looking at wrong places.

Oh great. Now I have to quit my job. United States Naval Academy uses Google Docs and that is it!!!! We all use g-mail and everything. I believe the entire military is going that direction now.....Want to know why? Google is cheaper than Microsoft.

I Googled “Obama is an asshole” and came up with 29 million hits. Near the top, this old joke:

A guy was traveling through Mexico on vacation when, low and behold,he lost his wallet and all identification. Cutting his trip short,he attempted to make his way home, but was stopped by a MexicanCustoms Agent at the Tijuana border.”May I see your identification, por favor, señor?” asked the agent.”I’m sorry, but I lost my wallet,” replied the guy.”Si, amigo, I hear that every day. No ID, no crossing the border,”said the agent.”But I can prove that I’m an American!” he exclaimed. “I have apicture of Bill Clinton tattooed on one butt cheek and a picture ofHillary Clinton tattooed on the other.””This I must see,” replied the agent. With that, the Americandropped his pants and bent over in front of the agent.”Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, you’re right!” exclaimed the agent. “Have a safe trip back to Chicago, Senor.””Thanks!” he said. “But why do you think I’m from Chicago ?”The agent replied, “I recognized Barack Obama in the middle!

Use Bing for search

Bing sucks. It yields far fewer results.
