MSNBC is so focused on building false narratives they should hand out hard hats to their on-air staff. This time it was the gang of unknowns on Melissa Harris-Perry‘s Sunday show depicting Vice President Joe Biden as a statesmen and GOP veep hopeful Paul Ryan as a liar.

The only thing that will ‘shine’ will be the top of Biden’s head..............

We’re approaching that tipping point - when a party that has been as inherently & demonstrably unethical & dishonest as the democrat party now simply refuses to respond to the countervailing point of view, choosing instead to clap their hands over their ears and scream ‘liar’ then the unthinkable cannot be far off.

I find it depressing that there are enough consumers of pseudo-news in this country to keep these guys in business.

This will end up being a draw. Biden will be on a very short leash and will stay on topic. He’ll probably have a small electronic shock device attached to his ‘’stick’’ so his handlers can prevent him from making the usual fool of himself. He’s going to be very pleasant and cordial, yet firm and honorable. I doubt if he’ll challenge Ryan and will answer any charges of bad government over the past 4 years with nothing of substance.

In all the blogs and little forums of the left that I look at, I’ve been hearing more and more that Romney is a liar (the worst is that all Mormons are liars), and now Ryan is a liar too.

So who you gonna believe- me or your lying eyes? Looks like another coordinated media rollout of a theme, now that the fringe MSM is picking it up too.

Are these the same people who predicted a stunning Obama victory in the last debate?

This liar thing was planned well in advance. Back in August an apolitical acquaintance told me a Republican “friend” on Facebook was telling all his 1000 “friends” that Romney is a liar.
I asked her if she had any examples of lies. She had none, but believed her friend.

Going for the idiot vote.

I doubt it. Biden is a loose cannon in the best of situations. They are stuffing his head (plenty of room there) with all kinds of ‘facts’ and ‘figures’ in the hopes of staving off the inevitable disaster that they know is coming.

He will be confused, and unable to recall all the gibberish that he has been fed for the past week.

When Ryan makes a fool out of him, they will say they ‘over-prepared’ for the debate and old Joe just couldn’t digest it all..........

Melissa Harris-Perry (note the hyphen) is an angry, bitter, dishonest, far-left person, perfect for MSNBC.

This is what I’ve seen.

If Romney was telling such”lies” you would think that the loony lefty media would be wall-to-wall covering them.

Magically they arent.

What this really is about is that the Obama people know that BO was not going to preform well, and that the torrent of attacks from Romney would be unassailable by them, so they decided to just call them “lies”, never explaining which one is and how, and hope that the fools on the internet will just go with it.

The problem is that people still see Obama looking like a chump on national TV.

>>...and now Ryan is a liar too.<<

Yes, but not just now. The initial attack on Ryan was to portray him as a liar. This happened almost immediately after Romney picked him, and that portrayal has been spread to all Dems and many Independents, especially in swing states, via commercials, and the equivalent of Dem commercials, MSNBC et al.

Serious question: In a debate, how do you counter the viewer’s opinion going in that you are a liar, that what you say can’t be trusted? I don’t have a good answer to that.

Romney had been portrayed as an ogre, wife-killer, aloof, etc., and all he had to do is show up and be reasonable and, as I believe it was Krauthammer said, poof $150 million in negative ads went up in smoke.

But showing up won’t overcome the liar portrayal, and I’m not sure what will. Yet it’s important to overcome it effectively since, as you pointed out, that’s what they’re trying to hang on Romney now too.

Ironically, it’s the Dems who are usually caught doing the out and out lying, as with the recent Libyan fiasco, but you don’t lose the liar label just by calling the other guy a liar instead.

So, thoughts on how Ryan should address this problem?

In other words, we rigged it. They clearly underestimate Ryans ability to steer conversation. I find it funny that MSNBC has predetermined their story line, soooo predictable.

Biden is just your typical, mealy-mouthed, pandering, full of baloney Dem pol. He might sound intelligent at Berkeley faculty meetings or selfish, greedy, me-first grievance-mongering, political factions, but he’s nothing more than another Dem hack who’s been in office far too long.

Two prediction for tomorrow:

1.) At 6:53 AM ET, the sun will rise over Boston.
2.) Beginning at 9:00 PM and running until 10:30 PM ET, Paul Ryan will beat Joe Biden like a rented mule.

Don’t know for sure. I’d be inclined to quote things that can easily be looked up, and challenge claims of lying by showing sources later.

The problem is that Romney and Ryan are speaking a different reality from the one many liberals live in, so it will be easy to morph that into claims of untruthfulness.
