The Big Bird ad stays.
Obama campaign adviser Robert Gibbs said Wednesday he didn't know of any plans to take down the controversial ad featuring the famous feathery star, despite a request by Sesame Workshop.
Gibbs made the comment on NBC's "Today" show, a day after campaign officials said they were reviewing Sesame Workshop's appeal.
The satirical TV ad featured a menacing voiceover warning of Mitt Romney's anti-Big Bird agenda, playing off the Republican nominee's debate claim that he wants to cut funding to PBS.
"Big, yellow, a menace to our economy. Mitt Romney knows it's not Wall Street you have to worry about, it's Sesame Street," the voiceover says. "Mitt Romney, taking on our enemies no matter where they nest."

Maybe O’s team can cut a deal and offer Big Bird a high-ranking cabinet position if they win.
"Wow, Mr. President! You're almost as smart as Biiiiird!"
“Whats a copyright infringement lawsuit to THE MESSIAh and his worshipping sycophants?? Its not like the laws of us mere mortals apply to them, anyway.”
PBS is a gov’t operation. This is a political, non-profit ad, I don’t know if they really can complain.
But the rest of your post could be the case, too...
Obama is appealing to the mental age of his supporters. He’s also looking to corner the preschool/kindergarten vote.
Romney throws 4 years of epic failure as a president in Obama’s face.
DemocRats counter by throwing Big Bird in Romney’s face. They are desperate...
Maybe that's the plan all along. Another way for sesame street to still make big bucks when obama looses the election. Even if Pres Romney cuts their funds, they'll still be "funded" through a lawsuit.
No wonder Obama hates Big Bird ...
Dems are in full panic mode.
Panic? They think the Big Bird ad is great,,,a move of genius.
Personally, I hope the ad runs until Election Day. It’s so darned bush-league and laughably inept, I guarantee you it is doing more harm to Obama than Romney. People are living paycheck to paycheck right now if they are *lucky*. They worry about being able to pay their bills, they’re worried about keeping their homes, they’re worried if things will ever get better. They aren’t, by and large, worried about Mitt Romney’s relationship with a fictional giant bird.
It’s not just this ad. I think a substantial proportion of Zippy’s ads actually are helping Romney. They make Zippy look like a desperate, clueless, pathetic lying fool. Big Bird is the best so far, though!
Obama & Gibbs and the Democrats aren’t worried about 23+ million unemployed & underemployed-—but they all sure are wee-wee’d up over one job—Big Bird’s.
Big Bird won’t lose his job—no way. The hours of ‘donation’ pleading on PBS will just go up.
