Obama’s Libya statements become ludicrous
Washington Post ^ | October 10, 2012 | By Jennifer Rubin

Posted on 10/10/2012 2:06:23 PM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer

Bring on the racks of “pants on fire” fact checks. Unload an army of Pinocchios to debunk the most egregious of the many untruths we’ve heard since the 9-11-2012 attack in Libya. In what is surely the most jaw-dropping of the many fudges, misrepresentations and outright lies by the Obama administration in handling the Libya attack that killed four Americans, we now hear from the State Department that it never linked the attack and death of four Americans in Libya to the anti-Muslim movie. I bet this comes as a bit of a surprise since you saw U.S. officials say just that for days. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama even went on Pakistani TV to express regret about the movie, an odd thing to do if it wasn’t linked in any way to the attack.

Moreover, the State Department now confesses there was no protest at all outside the Libyan installation before the attack.

That’s awfully problematic, given that Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice went on five talk shows suggesting in fact that the movie did provoke the attack. Mitt Romney’s top foreign policy adviser, Richard Williamson, told Right Turn, “Last time I checked, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations was part of the U.S. State Department.”

It is long past the time for the president to come clean, explain what he knew, why his administration was putting out a false story for days, why proper security was not in place, why he went on Pakistani TV to express regret about a movie and why no one has been fired for lying to the American people.

Strong stuff from the Washington Compost.

Obama’s media smells a loser.

I think Big Bird sent them over the edge.

Let's see if the average reader can tell the difference.

Because, Republican members of Congress have no guts to call out Obama and start ridding us of this “vermin” in the WH. It is us, the American people, who must take care of our dirty laundry....in November 2012. What happened in Libya is similar to what happened in Somalia - Blackhawk Down - in that additional security requested was denied and Americans died. That was under Bill Clinton’s watch and Libya is under Obama and Hillary’s watch. In the case of Somalia, I believe the decision maker did the noble thing - took his own life.

If it were not so deadly serious it would be farce. I used to think that Carter was bad, but he was a genius compared to Obama.

Blaming the movie “...it was a government wide assessment.” -Jay Carney.

The Park’s Department was adamant that they thought it was the movie. The Agriculture Department agreed. The only hold out was the EPA, which deferred pending the results of an environmental impact statement.

The other piece of this that must be brought into light every time dead-ambassador-gate is mentioned is how the regime used either printed money or borrowed-from-future-grandkid-taxes money, take your pick, to pay for advertising to the mudslim world, in Pakistan and elsewhere, bowing and apologizing for this alleged movie.

:-p. LOL

These people remind me of my brothers kids. Rather climb a tree to tell a lie than stand on the ground to tell the truth - even if it wasn’t necessary. Wouldn’t it have been easier to lie later after they’d had enough time to get the media on board? They panicked, and they did so because Mr Obama is The Amateur - the consummate amateur. A tactician so terribly inept as to rival no other in history.

To be sure, it was Obama directing the false narrative from moment one.

This story hasn’t even begun yet. Delicious.

I think the idea to lie about what caused the attack came from Obama and his campaign. Obama wants everyone to think he is responsible for finally defeating AlQuida. He wanted to use this as a campaign issue. He couldn't claim this if they were still attacking us. He told the State Dept. what he wanted said and they obeyed him.

Obama’s position and lies about what happened in Libya give aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war. That is not only treason by definition, it is impeachable. It is a criminal conspiracy to mislead the nation about Al Qaeda and terrorism so Obama can get re-elected.

MEMO TO HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.....get busy drawing up charges. This is more significant than President Clinton's lies about Ms Monica.
