The Daily Caller has a disturbing story up today. The outline goes like this: The moderator of Thursday's vice presidential debate is Martha Raddatz of ABC News. She is the network's senior foreign correspondent, and she is the sole moderator of the veep debate, which will center on foreign policy.
Raddatz has a connection with Barack Obama going all the way back to their days at Harvard. They worked on the Harvard Law Review together, and Obama attended her 1991 wedding. Fast forward to the present, and President Obama has appointed Raddatz's husband, Julius Genachowski, to the Federal Communications Commission. Genachowski is also an Obama campaign bundler, meaning that he is a major fundraiser for the president's re-election effort. That storyline alone raises questions of corruption and rewarding political supporters with powerful federal posts. Yet ABC insists that Raddatz has no conflict of interest in moderating the debate.
As if that all wasn't bad enough, the Caller raised all of this with ABC on Monday but the network stonewalled. It finally admitted Raddatz’s connections to Obama, but only after ABC went to Politico, the Daily Beast, and the Huffington Post to get some damage control printed on those liberal sites first.
Is this how an allegedly neutral news network should behave?
This is the kind of story a Jake Tapper would ordinarily raise in a White House press briefing, but whoops! Tapper works for ABC. And whoops! the Obama White House quietly scuttled press briefings a couple of weeks ago. The White House press corps didn’t even raise a fuss about that.
Thursday’s debate, as I mentioned earlier, is supposed to center on foreign policy. Right now the Obama administration is embroiled in what looks very much like a cover-up regarding the sacking in Benghazi. But Vice President Biden has, so far, managed to escape any scrutiny or questions about what happened in Benghazi and who knew what and when. Will moderator Martha Raddatz grill Biden about this very serious foreign policy question, or will she let him off the hook?
In the wake of last week’s presidential debate, many on the left assailed debate moderator Jim Lehrer for his performance as a way of distracting from President Obama’s weak showing. Raddatz surely knows this. Her husband’s status with the Obama campaign plus her own longstanding connection to the president himself suggests where her political sympathies lie. She has to know that if she aggressively questions Biden, she stands a strong chance of being ripped by the left as Lehrer was.
Her and her husband’s connections to Obama plus ABC’s behavior suggest that there is a fix in for Thursday’s vice presidential debate. If Raddatz does not press Biden hard about Libya, America will know that that debate was rigged to favor the Obama administration.
A fix? There’s no cure for stupid. No matter what they do, they can’t help Joltin’ Joe.
Thank God the dice ain’t loaded.

Paul Ryan had better be prepared to come out with a coherent answer on :
1) Rape and Incest as it relates to abortion. There will be a concerted effort to do to him what they did to Todd Akin.
2) Charges of hypocrisy. Why did he accept earmarks for his constituents when he said he was against it?
3) His Medicare plan and its “cuts’ to seniors on medicare. Biden will charge that he is cutting medicare by the same amount he charges Obama of cutting to pay for Obamacare.
4) Why he voted against the Simpson-Bowles commission recommendations even as he himself charged Obama for putting it on the shelve.
Just 4 I can think off the top of my head... I’m sure there will be more.
The only fix would be if they lied to Paul Ryan about the evening’s topic would be, but told BiteMe Joe.
Why does our side even agree to these obviously biased moderators? Why can’t they use Rush Limbaugh or Mark Levin for one debate?
He’s her ex-husband, but it still is a concern.
Even a “fix” will not help Biden.

More than likely, but I am fairly confident that Ryan can handle the pressure. He does his homework, his debate prep has obviously included those points, and others.
Raddatz and Genachowske have been divorced since the mid 90s. Not exactly a smking gun...
Joe Biden has some ‘splainin’ to do too.
1) What did the president know about ‘Gunwalker’ and when did he know it?
2) Why was security so lax in Benghazi, and where was the president the night of the attack?
3) Why does the president continue to fund Green Energy Projects that have utterly failed?
4) Was Joe sincere when he stated that the administration intends to increase taxes by another trillion dollars?

Remember the left sees no problem with the media being an arm of the Administration. This little dot of exposure concerning her White House Relationship may well be spun as she had to be exceptionally differential to Ryan or they will claim that Ryan disrespected her because of her relationship with the White House. In any case, Joe will not be pressured, Ryan will be excoriated and Joe being an idiot is not going to mean he lost in their eyes.
I know there are still some people fearful of the MSM but when the nut jobs at MSNBC and CNN can only get the National ratings that Fox gets in one major city there is a shift. I feel it everyday more and more and the more they all lie ABC, CBS and NBC the more they are laughed at out loud.
Best part, is when they open their lying yaps to President Romney at a press conference? they have already slaughtered all their credibility in advance. Why would they even deserve an answer. I would take all their passes and hand them to a rotating group of Bloggers.
Every debate that the monitor is a devout hard left liberal is a fix. It is in. Watch how the time goes to the RATS. Watch how the questions from this so called audience is stacked.

Lots of errors here. Genachowski was on the Harvard Law Review with O not Raddatz. He’s also her ex husband ,she’s married to some guy from NPR. The lady does get around, one of her husbands was Ben Bradlee’s son.
The lady has an attitude and I doubt very much she’ll be unbiased.

Having Raddatz be the moderator is just another symptoms of the liberal disease. That is, one of their biggest problems is having a focus on style, process and packaging rather than on substance.
Lack of substance is the explanation for Obama’s poor debate performance.
Trying to manipulate the process by putting in pro-Obama moderators is a continuation of this error.
It’s an error they can never fix, because liberalism is defined by lack of substance.

Have you ever seen one of those French debates? Just the two candidates, seated at a round table — not too big, not too small :-) — and they ask each OTHER questions. No time limits. NO moderator.
