President Obama Vows 'Determined' Performance at Second Debate

President Obama on Debate Performance: 'I Had a Bad Night' By DEVIN DWYER WASHINGTON, Oct. 10, 2012 President Obama on Wednesday said in an exclusive interview with ABC News' Diane Sawyer that he plans to more aggressively confront Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney in their second debate next week, trying to allay concerns among supporters that a lackluster first debate performance may have cost him the race.

"Governor Romney had a good night. I had a bad night. It's not the first time," Obama said in his first televised interview since the Denver debate on Oct. 3. Despite Romney's post-debate momentum and surge in the polls, the "fundamentals of what this race is about haven't changed," he said.

"This was one event. We've got four weeks to go. Nobody is going to be fighting harder than I am," Obama told Sawyer, aiming to reassure his base. "What they need is to make sure they tune in on Tuesday next week."

"If you have a bad game you just move on, you look forward to the next one, and it makes you that much more determined," he said, comparing the political face-off to a sports game.

Asked by Sawyer whether it's possible that his poor showing had handed Romney the election, Obama replied, "no."

"You're going to win?" she asked.

"Yes," Obama said.

"You want it more than the first time?" she pressed, noting that some Democrats have questioned whether he remains sufficiently passionate and relentless.

"Absolutely," he said.

You're not kidding!

"You're going to win?" she asked.

"Yes," Obama said.

"You want it more than the first time?" she pressed

"Absolutely," he said.

Good Gawd... it's like a dime store novel. What's next.... does she ask "Tell me what you're going to wear", with a little catch in her voice.

"If you have a bad game you just move on, you look forward to the next one, and it makes you that much more determined,"

ESPN soundbites from the sad sack bench warmer. This pansy has never had to fight aggressively for anything in his entire life. He doesn' t know how. This is just a street punk selling wolf tickets. Unless Romney has some long buried surprise divorce records, obama is out of ammunition. Big Bird my ass.

1) Obama is desperate

2) No teleprompter

3) If he acts angry, he will look like a loser, and turn off indies.

4) When Obama lies, Romney is well versed in FACTS.

Obama's appeal in 2008 was his cool.

Cool won't work this time, but losing it will be far, far worse for him. Doing so will make him look like the petulant self centered child he truly is.

Obama will be more confident for the second debate because in this week’s debate preparation, John Kerry has put up a more convincing performance of losing to Obama than he did during the first debate prep.

In other words, the president’s physicians will be trying to adjust his dosages.

” This pansy has never had to fight aggressively for anything in his entire life. He doesn’ t know how. “

Correct, and he isn’t running against an aging RINO who doesn’t care if he wins.

Obama is not an alpha male. It’s in his nature to be deferential. As it’s unnatural for Obama to confront an aggressive attacker, his response is not going to look / sound right. Most likely it’ll come off poorly- like a playground “Oh yeah, well your mom...blah blah blah” rather than the way actual mature adults disagree with each other.

I’m thinking the best adjectives to describe Obama’s “rebukes” will be childish and snarky.

Calling it ahead of time:

1. You're a racist!
2. 47%
3. Kick Granny out of her wheelchair.
4. You lied, you racist!
5. You're a rich 1%er not like me.
6. Did you know I personally shot bin Laden?
7. I knew Big Bird, and Mr. Romney, you are no Big Bird!
8. Bush Tax Hikes For The Wealthy.
9. I inherited this mess.
10. Did I mention you're a racist?

It grows tedious. The venue will encourage the usual spate of accusations, evasions, and sudden changes of subject that typifies discourse with the Left. The moderator will do her best to maneuver Romney into a defensive position because otherwise 0bama has to defend his record and he can't do that short of, well, lying. This one is going to be ugly, because the subtext is that 0bama has a right to be angry and Romney doesn't. And no matter what actually transpires, the stories declaring 0bama the winner have already been filed.

That's exactly what satan always does.
