Before a rapt audience, Al Gore flashed slides on a giant screen bearing the logos of 11 clean energy companies he predicted could help slow climate change.
We cant wait. . . . We have a planetary emergency, the former vice president told industry leaders and scientists at the 2008 conference. Here are just a few of the investments that I personally think make sense.
Just before leaving public office in 2001, Gore reported assets of less than $2 million; today, his wealth is estimated at $100 million.
Fourteen green-tech firms in which Gore invested received or directly benefited from more than $2.5 billion in loans, grants and tax breaks, part of President Obamas historic push to seed a U.S. renewable-energy industry with public money. . .

Man Bear Pig strikes again...what an idiot
Thief, yes. Liar, yes. Idiot.... I don’t think so.
Yeah, kind of like Cheney/Iraq/Halliburton, or Romney/Bain/China. Which is why I am not voting Republican or Democrat.
So have the Clintons.
There’s more money to be made in Carbon tax credits, than in “green technology”.
Maybe someone should tell Obama ... no , on second thought ..
Never mind ...
Now we know just how valuable “friends” are. Tens of millions of dollars!
That first picture is brilliant — given that Gore is a divinity school dropout. Actually, I give him full props for using his divinity-school training to found a new religion. He should probably be awarded a D.D. for that. That puts him in the same league as L. Ron Hubbard. Very few can start a religion (however bogus it may be), and gather millions of founders.
You are right..He is Bernie Madoff with Democrat protection and double standard behind him...I predict that Al Gore had better enjoy his ill gotten wealth because his judgment in eternity will come one day. I do not believe history will view him kindly.
Once again, Al demonstrates why it’s called “green” energy.
How much of that money was raised from “Solyndra” type companies? Invest, take the federal dollars, run from the sappy investors left holding the notes.
So have the Clintons.
I remember ENRON trying to create a market for Weather Future Options.
My eyes tear up at this wonderful saga of the beauty of free market capitalism.
You bet. They have done it for years. Slow communism.
yup he is an idiot...he is what the commies always refer to as the useful idiot. others much smarter and with truly evil motives have used folks like Gore for generations
