Helps in Florida!
I hope so.
Obama has gone out of his way to insult Jews.
I am still confused on how they know they are calling Jewish people. Do we have a little star next to our name in the phone book that I never noticed?
So, I take this with a grain of salt as to raw percentages, but do agree that this is the trend.
Combine this with the black ministers who are telling their flocks to break free of the democratic party plantation and November 6th could be a sweep of titanic proportions. I’m not counting my chickens but it seems on every front, that the air is coming out of the balloon. And with only three weeks to go.
If true, it puts PA and even NJ in play.
When have you seen that disclaimer on an poll before?
812 voters is a typical poll size !
No friggin’ way.
I’m as optimistic a guy as there is (I predict 55 / 45).
And, I’ve been hanging with the J crowd for over 30 years.
There’s no way the majority of them would turn against their religion: Liberalism.
Obama: “Oy vey!”.
I think most polling now incorporates asking about race and religious affiliation, as well as factors that have nothing to do with party registration.
But I doubt that Jews are moving towards Romney in great numbers, though I suspect he will get much better numbers than McCain did.
Can’t believe it... whats next, a poll showing 33% support by Blacks for Romney?
can you believe this
Democrats are only over sampled by 8%. That isn’t reflective of the Jewish population unfortunately. I do think that an historic number of Jews will vote Romney though.
Good question (and funny too). I try to use a different accent every time I get a "survey" question on the phone to throw them off.
Gee I wonder what made the Jews FINALLY start to wake up..was it the Dems booing Israel or Obama telling Netanyahu to shove it..even though most Jews will always vote because they are liberal its so nice to see so many of them finally waking up
WOW! What are the chances of this article coming to light and what the Lord showed me a few minutes ago?! I was just in my prayer closet and wanted to share a few words of encouragement for those who are fearful...This is what the Lord spoke to my heart,....FEAR NOT FOR I’M WITH YOU, like in the battle of Gideon so shall I be with you. I will fight this battle for you. I have heard the cries of my people. He then in a small still voice told me that Romney was going win! Take it for what it’s worth, I’m taking all the way to the bank cause I serve an AWESOME GOD!
Would this be FL Jews? Or where?
I have my doubts. There is no way Dems have only a +8 advantage among Jews.
I continue to pray.
He is listening.
My cousin is in California. A stupid Jew for Obama, as are many. Intelligent and compassionate in many matters, but absolutely ignorant of facts and committed to the “O.” Actually, it’s both brother and sister cousins who are that way.
Not all are secular.
Good lord, they finally woke up.
That never hurt the dems in the past. We may be getting sandbagged on this.
Of greater interest......... what is a Jew.
Are there fundamentalist, “evangelical” Jews?
Is the 35% that group?
I don’t believe it either.
I live in a town with a large Jewish population (1/3),and I guarantee Obama will win there.
Orthodox Jews vote Republican(The ones that you see on the Chabad telethons) but the American born Jews, those are the ones whose religion is liberalism
total BS; when push come to shove, the D lever is pulled. End of story.
I’m guessing that it’s national.
I suspect it’s even worse. They probably polled ZERO Orthodox Jews..they won’t respond to pollsters..but will likely vote for Mitt.
I’ve personally met some American born, and they’re conservatives but I realize they’re the exceptions and you’re right, they’re religious.
“Are there fundamentalist, evangelical Jews?”
There would not be “evangelical” Jewish people, as they would then be Nazarines, no?
But there are “fundamentalists” Jewish people, aka “Orthodox” and, increasingly the “Conservative” movement.
Reform are Episcopalians without ham and cheese.
We have family in Israel so since we have a stronger connection to Israel, the majority of my family vote Republican..a few vote Dem but according to my uncle two of his sons will be voting for Romney in November..why, not because of Israel, but because they make over 250,000 a year and don’t want to be taxed to high heaven by Obama..that is what made them jump ship..one is a lawyer and the other one works for google so they don’t want to “Spread their wealth around”
If, as a headline last week proclaimed, ‘’Debbie Wasserman Schultz Is Under 45% With 16% Undecided’’ in her heavily Jewish district, why wouldn’t other American Jews not also be expected to be turning away from the Democrats this year in record numbers?
And since Debbie herself is Jewish, not to mention the chairwoman of the DNC, you’d think she’d be leading by high double digits.
In any case, this poll is good news. Mazel tov.
This is a standard small sample outlier.
We have no idea how many of the 812 respondents were jews, only the percent by religion with preferences.
My guess would be that there were between 20 and 40 in the whole sample. Can’t say much about it.
Anecdotally, I know some American-born chabad that will vote for Romney because they are disappointed with the empty chair.
The poll states that it was a “small sample, interpret with caution”.
I have spoken with 2 Jewish business pals recently.
Both voted for Obama.
Both say no way in hell will they do it again.
Hope this is indicative of a trend.
The poll states that it was a “small sample, interpret with caution”.
Here is the link to the poll:
You are probably aware of (I hope I get the right name) Republican Jewish Colalition that has been working in PA, NJ and FLA and causing a lot of heartburn.....
I’ve known some poll takers - they know what we eat for breakfast...
If so its going to be a blow-out.
GOOD on them. Some Jewish people look at taxes as paying a tithing of sort. That is dead bang wrong headed. Government is NOT a charity.
They asked each respondent their religious preference -- Catholic, Prstestant, other Christian, Jewish, Other. I.e., no star unless you asked for one.
Of an 812 total sample, I can't imagine there being more 25-30 Jewish respondents -- in which case the sample is way too small to be a reliable measure of Jewish presidential preferences.
“You are probably aware of (I hope I get the right name) Republican Jewish Colalition that has been working in PA, NJ and FLA and causing a lot of heartburn.....”
I hope so. They certainly better be using my money wisely!
There maybe something else at work here... This may seem strange, but Romney is less of a threat as a Mormon than an Evangelical (or insert other here) given how often Mormon’s are misconstrued, as Jews they can relate...
