I was raised in a Walker family...my grandfather was big into it

i’ve got the land and the kids and finally took the plunge

i enjoy it more than i thought i would

some horses are inspiring..majestic..and I like riding..but i also enjoy the ground game...brushing them...just tending to them and talking to them

we had an old one..a 16 hand Walker mare who lived till 34 or so...died of hoof infection after stepping on broke glass in the barn

guess which 11 year old broke the ball jar...man I always carried guilt over that

and now warn my kids not to leave crap in the pasture or barn

my aunt ..whose horse it was..lives near us up here now and doesn’t even remember me doing that...but I do

i told Annette...dang why sit and stare at FOX when we can sit outside...around 50 degrees and enjoy a fire and some nice Joe and the fresh air

and our big pals hanging around for some sweet feed

plus we get quiet time from the Wild bunch in the house

but it was apparently quite a different interpretation strictly by ear wasn’t it?

Remember that Obama and Biden are the guys slashing our military to pre-WWI levels. After the next attack on our shores, they will claim they had no idea we needed security. Will Joe still be laughing as he tells us? How many more American fatalities will be bumps in the road for them?

IMO the next commercial should be Biden’s laughter at important issues coupled with pictures of Obam’s digital comments. “THE REASON BIPARTISANSHIP IS DEAD IN DC!” sums it up.

I shut it down and went to bed about 2330, so just saw them this morning.

Jim, you and John have my very best of wishes for figuring out the kink in the hose, whatever/wherever it is.

As a diagnostic fyi, while FR was crawling last night, my weather sites, work-related stuff, zap tv, etc were all zipping along, so it wasn't just general grousing due to slow gear here.

Anyway .. happy TGIF to one and all   :-)

I was a kid when those debates occurred. Nixon just wasn’t as photogenic as Kennedy? Or did Nixon grimace or make other visual gaffes?

I didn't mean to imply that Nixon did anything comparable to Biden. His only "gaffe" was that he refused to use makeup, so his 5 o'clock shadow was obvious, and compared to the photogenic Kennedy, he looked terrible. In fact, I read that he had been in the hospital not long before the debate, and may not have been fully recovered. It was said that Nixon won on substance, but Kennedy won on optics, hence the radio vs. TV comments.

There is a short four day window to make hay over Biden’s horrendous performance before the next Romney-Zippy debate.

Make no mistake—Biden’s disrespect will be the talk of the country—and how Ryan could be President, in folk’s eyes who are not as familiar as we are with the political topics.

Romney and Ryan should hammer Joe’s uncivility as a prime example of the partisanship and tone in DC the Democrats routinely engage in, the Obama/Reid/Pelosi tactics of lockout, etc.

Let’s make the most of it.

I tried all through the debate to get on the thread and put in my two cents. Not once was I sucessful. Very disappointing.

I saw myself that the load average was not high and that the cpu’s were mostly idle all night. I asked him if it could be a DOS attack or a configuration problem and he said could be. He’d look into it. Said the system was not overloaded and it would be a shame to buy a new database server and not solve the problem.

It would be worth A LOT of money to the Democrat party to put this site out of commission on days like yesterday.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have "people" on salary to deal with the "problem".

I'm just sayin'.

Couldn’t get on this thread last night after the debate but I’ve just scrolled through all the responses. Biden was a disgrace, our enemies must be laughing all the way to the weapons cache. Our country won’t survive 4 more years of Obama/Biden. I did think of one reason Biden was laughing so much. Maybe he was overcompensating because he reminds so many people of Walter, Jeff Dunham’s grouch puppet. He was like Walter on happy pills with a vodka chaser.
