No doubt Biden lost. And no doubt he will lose big time when the fact checking gets done on this debate.
Currently
51 Ryan
42 Biden
6 undecided
What is important is how the independents viewed it.

poll totals when i voted was 51% Ryan/43% Biden
CBS & ABC “Analysts” try to “establish” that Biden won.
What I think doesn’t matter.
Biden presented himself as an asshole. No doubt there. The left assholes will love him. The left non-assholes will be embarrassed.
What Biteme did tonight was fragment / chip away at his base.
Those who loved it are glued a little tighter but some chunks fell off.

Its NOT going to change the dynamics of this presidential race because people don’t vote for the Vice President.
I would have been happy to vote for Paul Ryan had he been at the top of the ticket.
He’s the conservative loyal soldier we should have had in the first place but GOP bigwigs insisted on saddling us with a barely electable liberal.
Mitt Happens has to get there under his own power. A good Veep can only help him so much as the debate showed us tonight.
Irrelevant question. These guys can only hurt their ticket and neither did that. Biden played Lunch Pail Joe to the hilt. Ryan stayed calm, cool and collected. They both did what they were supposed to do.
Right after I voted the numbers were 53 Ryan, Biden 41
Close, but Ryan won.
Biden GAFFED again.
He said SYRIA was a bigger country than LIBYA!!!!
Syria has about 72,500 sq.miles and Libya has about 600,00+!!!!
When Ryan brought up Obamacare, Biden said this came up in the debate with SARAH PALIN!!!!! THERE WAS no Obamacare in 2008!!!!
Biden inferred that there intelligence had NOT told them that the attack in Benghazi was by an organized group. A FEW DAYS ago it was revealed by a Mr. Kennedy that they HAD told the Administration such a thing.
Biden looked and sounded like a supercilious, arrogant old ass with his snickering grin and idiotic laughing. Ryan should have been more aggressive in cutting Biden off when he interrupted and reciprocated by interrupting BIDEN when he spoke.
I agree with you - your observation reinforces what I already said.
The Veep doesn’t make a political difference like they used to and neither guy can help the the guy at the top of the ticket win.
That’s the responsibility of the candidate running for President. Obama has a big hole to climb out of next week.
We’ll see if he can be the Comeback Kid of 2012.
Like Biden, stupid is as stupid does. Only 26 days before the beginning of the end of the idiocy known as Obama/Biden.

Same here Ron C. 53 41 6
Will this change swing voters’ minds? I’d have to say “no.”
Barring a Romney meltdown next week, I think we have a pretty good idea of who’ll win in November.
Obama faces a near impossible task. It would be an easy task if his opponent was destroying himself.
And he has to make Mitt Happens look unelectable and still make himself look good. I’d say that’s a tall order.
Lib commentators think Biden did poorly with all the laughter and smiles.
CNN focus group...1/3 say Ryan won, 1/3 Biden, 1/3 draw.
It didn't take long for me to think that Ryan had already won. He won by being a knowledgeable respondent to questioning by the moderator. Biden lost by being the ass that he always is - demonstrating very little impressive knowledge - while being continuously rude when Ryan was answering.
One question I have - how much speaking time was allowed to each of the participants. If truth be told, I believe Biden hogged most of the time.
Turn on MSNBC. Tingles, Madcow, and the kraut are ecstatic about Bidens performance.
A split only stops the bleeding for Obama. It doesn’t get him back where he needs to be.
Biden stopped what might have been a free fall. Now Obama has to climb his way back. It remains to be seen if he can do that but I already indicated how difficult it can be if you’re the underdog in the race.

>>Lib commentators think Biden did poorly with all the laughter and smiles.
For once I agree with lib commentators.
Biden looked idiotic with the grinning. Biden acted like a bratty bully with the interrupting. Biden sounded like a clueless imbecile with so many responses of “malarkey” He should have gone straight to “neener, neener.” And he sounded like a shifty used car salesman or a con man with all the smarmy insincere “my friend” remarks.
I’d say Biden would have eked out a draw based solely on not allowing his opponent to get a word in edgewise. However, Biden acted in such a repugnant manner that I have to give it to Ryan on points.
I think its at best a draw. The media may be right Biden staunched the bleeding but that wasn’t enough.
On style points, I’d give this debate to Ryan.

Laughter and smiles aside, Biden was rude and inconsiderate as hell.
Another poll ping.
CBS flash poll has Biden winning debate 65% to 35% A lot of people are seeing Bidens Laughing and interrupting as confidence.
I don’t see Obama recovering. I think we saw the real Romney and the real Obama at that first debate. If Obama comes out swinging he’ll seem prepped and fake. If he pulls a Southside Chicago Pastor act he’ll finish himself with the white vote and election. If he remains passive and arrogant he’ll lose again. So it’s lose/lose for Obama.
He’s losing the media and those liberal whores are cheap. If you cannot keep them in your camp it’s over. I believe we’re at an inflection point not just in the campaign, but throughout our country.
If conservatives don’t want to go back and forth from election to election we need to not let up after the election. We need to have a half century plan to return our republic to greatness. Our ideas are superior and we need to lead with them. It’ll take some training/educating to bring about change.
That’s not going to happen in Washington or at the action of any politician, but from us as individuals innovating our way out of this mess. There are millions of solutions just waiting for government to get out of the way.
That’s what I’m most excited about with Romney. He wasn’t my fifth choice in this race, but I didn’t think he would be as devastated as others did by his Romneycare issue in MA. Even then I saw it as an opening to federalism and state’s rights. That’s exactly how Romney and his team used it.
That’s wise as a political strategy to win this campaign, but the real benefit to America is a return to federalism with states competing. I also like Romney’s pick of Ryan and this debate solidified that for me. I know that Ryan’s debt plan isn’t perfect, but he’s sharp and dedicated. A VP can be a force multiplier for a President and I believe Ryan will be very busy in a Romney WH.
Romney doesn’t just want to win, he wants to serve two terms and see his VP elected. I’m not counting the victory until Nov. 7, but I’m hopeful.
Bad etiquette is in good taste these days?
I think people have forgotten their “Emily Post.” And winning at all costs is not the most desirable thing in life.
There’s a big difference between confidence and snarkiness dressed up as it.
Bad etiquette is in good taste these days?
Unfortunately, yes. This isn’t 2000 where Gores sighing was viewed as crude and impolite. This is 2012. Rudeness and mocking are viewed as signs of strength and confidence whereas politeness is seen as weakness.
Joe came off as a school yard bully. He didn’t help “the creep” with the independent women vote. Not one little bit.
I thought so too. I also was disgusted with that woman interrupting Ryan whenever you could see that Ryan was going to do one of his efficient, excellent comments-—she butted in. I almost turned off the debate, Biden’s and her puerile rudeness was so annoying.
I would have liked the forum with Ryan and Biden standing-—the psychological edge that Ryan has with his stature and good looks would have given him an even bigger win. But that is why the leftist had them sit with an obnoxious feminist asking men to get “personal” about an abortion answer. She made me puke with her phony feminist remark about the whole abortion issue.
The Leftist tried to make Ryan look bad-—but they didn’t succeed. He held his ground ok and they looked like bratty, rude kids.
He did exactly what needed to be done. He allowed Biden to be a jerk (pretty much unamimous opinion) and came across as knowledgeable, polite and capable.
Indies will be won over. Great job, Paul!!
Hurry-up Liberals of the msnbc finally changed the equation, and it stands now at 48% or Biden. Another orchestrated poll..
Well, if I could simply say that Biden was boring as I could bother listening through, I would say he got most of the time. Whomever figured voting Biden up didn’t have a clue what listening to this guy would sound like.
Ryan did very well but not as well as he might have done if his train of thought had not been interrupted numerous times by Biden and, at times, the biased moderator. But Biden’s grotesque smiles, grimaces, smirks, head shakes, and eye rolls detracted from any debate points he scored. Biden was a blabbermouth and most of what he said was empty rhetoric.
I thought Ryan’s answer about abortion was heart-felt and sincere.
Biden came across as giving the answer every one knows is politically correct.
Cuz you know in this country there is only one “right answer” on abortion.
And far as the media is concerned, Ryan failed their phony test.
So much for a fair and well-considered debate.

Agree. My wife and I nearly turned the debate off also. We felt she was trying to keep Ryan off track. We also believed, joe couldn’t stand for an hour and a half. They sat for joe’s benefit.
Biden came off as such a prick..if that is the way Obama is going to behave next week Mitt Romney will be known as MR. PRESIDENT..the only people that loved Biden tonight were the left wing loons..everyone else, the undecided voters and the Independent voters were absolutely DISGUSTED with the way that Biden behaved. Paul Ryan showed himself tonight to be a VERY smart man, and a very calm man..My Mom wanted to go through the TV and smack Biden across the face..that is what Biden wanted, to piss Ryan off, instead Ryan just remained calm
**What's to smirk about when discussing a dead Ambassador? Iran and the bomb? The unemployment rate in Biden's hometown of Scranton? Which, by the way, was clearly news to Biden.**
What a smirk jerk! Anything substantive Biden had to say was diminished by the supercilious smirk.
I think Congressman Ryan being double teamed yet handled himself very well, but Biden is a typical demorat smirk-jerk.
