(CNN) – A CNN poll of debate watchers released following Thursday's matchup between Rep. Paul Ryan and Vice President Joe Biden showed 48% of respondents named Ryan the winner and 44% said Biden won.

Biden started debating the moderator.
The laughing, smirking, 82 interruptions.
He was overplaying it to make up for Obama.
The libs are actually accusing CNN of being the new FOX. Amazing! I think Biden’s smirk turned people off in a baaaad way.
That’s good enough for me. A close debate, especially a VP one, is highly unlikely to move any poll numbers or take any of the gathering steam out of Romney’s march toward 270.
Sure, it would have been nice to see Joe have a total Howard Beale moment, but he didn’t gain any ground for Team Obama, and that’ll work.

NBC poll apparently had him up even more. AP poll has Ryan winning.

Not sure about neutral but definitely adding in a lot more “random acts of journalism” as of late...that interview of Stephanie Cutter calling Obama out over Libya and the interview with the mother of the fallen soldier were very hard hitting and unusually skeptical toward the Obama administration. I don’t suspect it will last...might be just to point to as “proof” they aren’t biased when they go full on activist later.
Yes, the "moderator" was indeed horrible. But what did you think about Biden?

I think that within a day or two, it will set in with the public of what an asshole Biden was. The dems don’t realize what a bed crapping Biden did tonight.

Not that I would have expected Biden to win....Paul Ryan is just so damn smart, but Biden’s childish reactions were a real turn-off!
The smirks and laughs were strictly psy-ops for the tv audience; Biden tried to make it appear that he & Raddatz were sharing some kind of insider understanding of Ryan’s inferiority, as if she was looking back at him and smirking/laughing too.

Don't think the MSM will be able to clean that mess up, expect to see a Romney/Ryan bump up in the national polls in a few days.
Remember the first Bush / Gore debate in 2000? The flash polls showed a strong majority though Gore won the debate, yet his poll numbers tanked in the days that followed because he was so nasty with all of the very loud sighing noises Gore was making every time Bush was speaking.
That makes it 53% - 39%!
Biden came across as a real misogynist—he was awful to the woman moderator, and she was trying to help him. He read her the riot act several times and he will make women’s skin crawl. YUK—he is a real Pr___k.
Does anyone suppose this is actually the Romney margin over Obama if you take away the Wilder Effect? When they don’t have to worry about being accused of racism, maybe the race really is Romney +4.

LOL. A 48-44 on overall win, 53-43 on likeability, 50-41 on clarity is definitely a win for Ryan. Not a blowout, but still a win.
Yeah but just taking this CNN poll as face value for what it is with the +/- then it does mean its a tie......I didn’t see anything tonight that would move people one way or the other

I think it was deliberate but only to dodge BiteMe’s record. He could not have a formal serious discussion about his record. BiteMe has always projected his domineering persona in his political career to control the conversation. I’m glad that Ryan didn’t go there. The contrast in tonight’s debate was very stark.
