When even Tom Brokaw calls out Biden's hysteria, you know Ryan won
morning joe | 10/12/2012 | barryobi

After each debate I like to watch MSNBC Morning Joe to see how they try to spin things. Imagine my surprise when I tuned in a few minutes ago and saw Tom Brokaw trashing Biden's debate performance. Mika and the gang (including Joe) tried to use the 'We all know Joe personally, and he is a really nice guy' routine, but Brokaw was not biting. He said Biden was so off putting in his behavior that the undecided voters would not be moved towards Obama after watching the debate.

Everyone on the show agreed that both men passed the 'one heartbeat away' test that showed they were ready to be POTUS if something happened. That was where Palin (rightly or wrongly) was crucified by the MSM.

My own cheesehead opinion was that nobody really won the debate, but that Biden was the big time loser because his antics are all any casual viewer will take away. In my book, Biden telegraphed the growing panic in the Obama campaign. If they were not worried, Biden would not have acted so boorishly. If they felt they were ahead, he would have exhuded confidence rather than anger.

Watched Frank Luntz focus group discussion on Fox right after the debate, at the end he asked the group if any of them were still undecided on who to vote for and many said they had still not made up their minds.................unbelievable

Anybody who hasn't made up their minds in this election is the sort of person who needs it made for them. They will see which way the wind is blowing and go there. Luntz' group last night was full of people who loved what Biden did, believe it or not. They said things like he was strong and an excellent debator. But they still weren't sure. I think after they see all the negative press, they'll go with the flow and decide Biden is a cavalier meanie.

I actually think that last nights over the top aggressiveness was fully planned by the admin after Obama’s weak passive performance last week.

Biden came off as disrepectful and unhinged - the exact Polar opposite of Obama Last week.

But, this now sets up Obama to be Fairlyt aggressive next week as long as he is not as condescending and OVER THE TOP rude like Biden.

As a result Obama will come off as ‘Presidential’ and ‘respectful’ compared to the Biden performance, whereas he might have been considered ‘too aggressive’ or ‘too mean’ if there was no Wildman Joe performance in between.

I’m sure he was told it was a make-it or break-it performance.

And like most consummate politicians, he smiles as a reflex - when a camera is on him - when he’s uncomfortable - when ge feels threatened - whenever his small political mind is tick-tick-ticking away...

“they'll go with the flow and decide Biden is a cavalier meanie.”

What concerns me is a lot of people don't realize this guy (joe butt-in) is next in line...........scary

And at one point he mentioned ARPA, even though the Dims have been told explicitly NOT to use ARPA as a talking point...

I wish that Ryan had signaled a pause, leaned over to Biden and commented loudly enough to be heard on mic, “Joe, we’re trying to have a serious debate here. Cut with the Jon Stewart wannabe antics and let’s get down to business.”

Now just imagine if the roles were reversed and Ryan had acted like Biden and vice-versa. The Dems would be howling about a rude, nasty, unhinged Ryan, and they’d be right.

Would you want Biden representing the US in serious talks with the leader of another country with views differing from his?

It appears to me that this behavior is more of a nervous tic or reaction to the discourse of the other party than a deliberate effort to be rude and disrespectful.

"true believers"

They're besides themselves with joy at DummyUnderground. To these nuts Biden gave Lyin' Ryan exactly what he deserved. For leftists to win debates, you shout louder and ridicule your opponent. That's why they're leftists.

I'm almost ready to fully believe Obama is tanking this election.

Fire up the Left, piss off everyone else. Hardly a winning electoral strategy by Obama/Biden

I understand the staffers of Demorats in the WH are being provided with grief counseling.

A staffer for a congressional Demorat who came up short on Tuesday reports that a team of about five people stopped by their offices this morning to talk about payroll, benefits, writing a résumé, and so forth, with staffers who are now job hunting.

A “counselor” made himself available to help with the emotional aspect of the Hussein and Biden debate losses — and a section in the packet each staffer was given dealt with the stages of grief (for instance, Stage One being anger, and so on).

“It was like it was about death,” the staffer said. “It was bizarre.” The staffer did say the portions about the benefits and résumé writing were instructive.

Heh.

“Anybody who hasn’t made up their minds in this election is the sort of person who needs it made for them. They will see which way the wind is blowing and go there”

I coined an original term for those folks.

They are “the waving wheats” — they tend to bend en masse in the direction of the prevailing political winds...

Yes but here’s obama’s problem: they already played the “its already over… obama won” card and the sheep didn’t break to him. That’s telling, Eben with the entire media saying its over they still waffled. I don’t think Obama gets another bite at that apple.

I had been going to write a vanity on that but I had work and home issues eating up all my time.

It's obvious that that blustery attack from the press (who have crossed the line from merely partisan shills and whores to full-blown Goebbels), complete with Dem +13% oversampled polls (CBS), ...

...was this generation's version of the Tet offensive.

Only this time, the people didn't buy it.

I mean, *srsly*. Reporting a ~30k drop in unemployment, then have it come out that *California* didn't finish reporting?

Cheers!
