Even the U.S. Catholic bishops had to fact-check Vice President Joe Biden's performance last night, issuing this statement about a comment Biden made regarding the Catholic Church (h/t @richardsstarr):

Last night, the following statement was made during the Vice Presidential debate regarding the decision of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to force virtually all employers to include sterilization and contraception, including drugs that may cause abortion, in the health insurance coverage they provide their employees:

Funny... Had Biden only applied his standard of ‘not forcing his moral standards’ on the church he wouldn’t e getting corrected by the Bishops.

Biden is either totally stupid or so far out of the loop that he knows absolutely nothing about what is going on around him.

I wonder how many Catholics will put their faith before their political party?

This would definitely leave a mark with Catholics, so no way will the MSM cover it.

He also lied about his votes on Iraq and Afganistan.

Like he intentionally lied because someone told him to.

Supposed “people of faith” or religious posers who say that they personally (because of their faith) oppose abortion, but they believe they can’t force their will on others, are really saying...... “I wouldn’t personally kill a baby, but I can’t tell others not to kill a baby. ???????????????

YES YOU CAN!!! It’s a LIFE stupid.

It’s not really too big of a step from works-based righteousness to advocacy-based righteousness.

And that’s what liberalism is - advocacy-based righteousness.

Uh huh.

For CINOs, it's a no-brainer. They follow their bishop. Bishop Pelosi, that is.

totally stupid?

Stupid doesn't survive that long in the upper echelon of DC power politics. Not a great brain? Sure. But smart enough to make himself very useful to the party.

knows absolutely nothing about what is going on around him.

He doen't have to know. His job is to create folksy-appearing chaos, and he's doing it pretty darn well. He's at least as smart as Obama, and can handle his politics better ... without benefit of teleprompter. Like it or not, he acquitted himself somewhat better than his chief in last night's debate. He lost, but at least he didn't let Ryan wipe the floor with him!

About 50% in presidential elections, if you go by voting pro-choice candidates since Reagan.

Yes, I am about tired of the Obama administration being anti-choice in all areas except baby-killing—which we are required to support.

Grrr!

Stupid really is the word.

Biden gives scandal. He gives Catholics and others cover - they won’t have cover of ignorance on the day that really matters, unless they are truly not intelligent enough to know, of course, but he is a scandalous person.

It is NOT the woman’s body- it is that of the baby.

Biden is either totally stupid or so far out of the loop that he knows absolutely nothing about what is going on around him.

Those two possibilities aren't mutually exclusive. I think that both are true.

He said democrats protect the most vulnerable. Then he said women must be allowed to kill their babies. There is no condition more vulnerable than unborn children. Democrats demand the right to slaughter the unborn for any reason. They do not believe in it but they will not impose their elevated morality on the immoral.
So we are to conclude that a baby’s right to life is trumped if its mother does not want to continue to provide a safe womb. By this logic no one is responsible for supporting the life or well being of another if they choose not to do so.
A society that promotes abortion is antiwoman. It fails in the first instance to provide support and comfort for pregnancy.

Yep.

And what does it say for the men of our country?

They also have the right to have marital relations with strangers - a lie- without worldly consequences, and they go for it and at least allow it.

They are not going to come out well in the history books.

Neither is joe Biden and his lunatic party.
