Mayor Villaraigosa wants city ID card for immigrants
Los Angeles Times ^ | October 13, 2012 | By Catherine Saillant

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is pushing a plan to create an official city photo identification card that could double as a prepaid ATM card and help immigrants get access to banking services.

The initiative could reduce crime because fewer people would have to carry cash, but critics say it's another ill-advised City Hall effort to accommodate illegal immigrants.

A handful of cities, including San Francisco and Oakland, issue identification cards to anyone who can prove residency, regardless of immigration status. Villaraigosa said it's time that Los Angeles — home to an estimated 4.3 million immigrants — joined them.

I know they are hopeless libs, but the above quote seems a bit much even for a California journalist.

Or the initiative could increase crime because the robbers would have to hit more people to maintain their level of income because fewer of their victims are carrying cash.

Tony Villar, his real name, is NOT doing this to decrease crime. He’s doing it so every illegal here in Los Angeles gets every taxpayer dollar ‘they deserve’ and then some. And can vote, of course.

So tired of Hispanic Ku Klux Klan racists like Villagrosa doing everything for Criminal Illegal Aliens, while the city, state, and nation are going broke.

This is just Hispano-Racism on steroids. Criminal Illegal Aliens do not need IDs and bank accounts....they need to be DEPORTED. They can get all the IDs and bank accounts they want in their own countries

Illegal Alien Amnesty is Anti-American Bigotry

4.3 is ‘immigrants’ according to the article, not ‘illegal immigrants.’ Small consolation. And yes, California/ Sacramento Legislators are NUTS - they give folks free housing, food stamps, free college tuition, etc and etc. - ALL on the taxpayers’ backs. For votes. It is disgusting.
