Obama Claims He Has Lost Control of His Own Administration
Freeper Editorial ^ | 13 Oct 12 | Xzins

Posted on 10/13/2012 8:18:52 AM PDT by xzins

While it is probable that Obama had information that the murder of our ambassador in Libya was not the result of an obscure video trailer, he has claimed that he did not know. He has said he had no idea that on the anniversary of 9/11 there was an orchestrated terrorist attack on our American mission in Benghazi, Libya. Americans should stand amazed at this Obama defense.

For the sake of argument, let us take them at their word. That leads to the conclusion that the entire intelligence community, if we believe Joe Biden, did not inform the President of the United States of the exact nature of an attack on American soil that resulted in the death of a US ambassador and three other highly skilled, highly trained US citizens.

If we believe Stephanie Cutter, Obama Campaign Spokeswoman, the entire US State Department -- although they knew better -- permitted The President of the United States to believe a lie about a video.

Assuming these things to be true, do they somehow exonerate President Obama?

Hardly, for this amounts to the president arguing that he has no control, no relationship, no emergency information sharing protocol with the major foreign information arms of his OWN administration. Is he not easily reached, at war with his own people, surrounded by incompetent unprofessionals? What in the world has transpired that such a terrible system is in place in the first place?

Lack of leadership, poor leadership climate, can be the only answer. After all, the president is the Chief Executive and the Commander in Chief of the United States of America. Truman might be too often quoted, but in this case it really does apply. When it comes to the president, "The buck stops here!"

So, my fellow citizens, our president is calling on us to recognize that the nation is rudderless. He defends himself by claiming to be out of the loop. Have you ever heard of such a thing, a president arguing he should get a pass due to negligent leadership?

In the meantime, Benghazi burns. And Egypt. And Syria. And Iran. And...furiously...Mexico.

Responsibility and authority go hand-in-hand.
Before you can learn how to lead, you have to know to follow. Stated another way, you can’t be an effective leader—give orders—if you’ve never learned how to take them. He’s been quick to claim credit and shirk responsibility: The buck has never stopped at his desk. He’s been voting “present” all his life.
In his middle age, it has finally caught up with him.

This doesn't surprise me in the least. We are just blessed that this crisis wasn't incoming nuclear warheads from Iran or North Korea. The reason 0bama looks out of place in the pictures of the war room when the Seals were getting Bin Laden is because the ONLY way they could carry out the operation was to keep the Community Agitator out of the loop. He was informed AFTER the mission was underway.

I think you are onto something here.

Go back to commentary when he was the editor of the Harvard Law Review. Others said he showed up and was never seen again. That is exactly his style, he is nothing but a community organizer. He appointed many Czars to carry out some policy of which he maybe provided some general framework. The rest of his job as he sees it is just running for reelection.

obama emailed me for funds yesterday. I emailed him back saying money is tight right now, also observing that Bidden (sic) had set debating and civil discourse back 112 years.

I concluded by saying “I hope that in the next international crisis, you know the factual details before I do.”

It is one missing key point! Everyone keeps missing it...

The claims that the Administration didn't know are the direct result of 0bama failing to hold his daily security briefings...for weeks at a time!

They didn't know because the chair being held for them on a daily basis was empty!

If we are to believe them...then we need to see the daily briefs...and of course those security briefings are top secret.

...willful neglect of duty...

for which he should be impeached and the rest of the administration investigated on similar charges.

If Romney/Ryan wins, 0bama-Biden should not be permitted to remain in office until the inaugeration. Boehner would be better than them as at least a seat warmer.

embassy security in Libya at the President's Daily Breifing because they knew Obama and Joe never bothered to attend.

Obama cannot even claim that it was a 3:00 a.m. phone call.

According to the timeline, the attack started about 9:40 p.m. (Libyan time).

Libyan time is 6 hours ahead of Washington's, depending on the Daylight Savings Time differential. That would still put the attack in mid-afternoon, Washington time and even earlier, Mountain [Colorado]/Pacific [Vegas] Daylight Time.

It was publicly know back in August al qaeda had taken control and was a serious threat. The whole “they didn’t tell o’bidens” is a bullshit smokescreen. In fact, the consulate takeover is a smokescreen for the much more disastrous larger picture. By focusing only on the consulate takeover, o’bidens are keeping attention away from the growth of al qaeda since our “victory” over there. That is what Romney needs to jump on.

Obama is such a micro-manager that it is clear that he knew everything.

Here's a different perception: as a micro-manager, he has sufficient control to prevent underlings from telling him stuff he does not want to hear. Having decided that the Libya attack was solely due to a crappy video, and having taken that position publicly, he did not want to be told anything different. Hence, he was not told and could deny, truthfully, that he was -- and thereby place the blame on those who "should" have told him but did not because they knew that they were not permitted to do so.

Both, because even if he is lying, which I think he is, he still ran his foreign policy worse than an abject amateur.

If he wasn't told the facts by his administration, then he's been lying to the public for years now by presenting himself as a leader when he knows he isn't.

Either way, you get a lying incompetent.

For crying out loud, Idi Obama went on Letterman, had private fund-raisers in multiple states, what more can we expect of him?

Un-flippin-real how panties on the head of prisoners at Abu Grahib was used to denounce Bush's leadership and Idi Obama gets a free pass from the same oh-so-concerned-MSM when 4 people are killed.

Wonder how long it took for them to find a YouTube video to blame?

"Quick! someone type in 'anti-Muslim' in the search function on You Tube, we need something to blame!"

And what of our Chairman of the JCS, who of his own initiative (yeah, right) that felt he had to call an obscure anti-Muslim pastor in Florida and demand that he tone down his rhetoric lest HE inflame passions in the Middle East.

Agreed, I’ve been thinking this all along. I don’t know why the pubs aren’t calling him on this.

It is his responsibility to know. If he claims he didn’t know, that is his failure.

Not knowing may be an excuse, or even a reason (doubt it). But, regardless, he failed to perform.

The president has the responsibility, the authority and the resources to lead. Obama simply isn’t doing his job.

Now that we know it was a direct attack, that State and CIA knew, and that no video had any connection to this, so pastor Jones certainly didn't, I can only conclude that General Dempsey has dishonored his office and himself. Military Intelligence is immediately updated by Central Intelligence in these instances, assuming they didn't already know from their own sources. Dempsey has no excuse. None. His was a purely partisan political act.

His fellow flag officers should be encouraging him to resign before the next Commander in Chief fires him.

Yep.
And notice how low of a profile Hillary! is keeping these days. Ubama is essentially blaming Hillary! (ie., the State Department) for keeping him out of the loop. And we already know Hillary! is a "sociopathic liar" (William Safire), so I strongly suspect this Benghazi situation is a classic case where a couple of conspiring liars failed to "get their stories straight". I really don't think Hillary! and Bill are going to take the fall for the bumbling Ubama and his Chicago thuggery. This story can only keep getting worse.

I agree that Obama WAS a “micromanager.” Everyone is missing the obvious. Obama hasn’t been doing the job for months. While all this was going on wasn’t he in Vegas and out fundraising. The reason he probably doesn’t remember being told was that he skipped the briefings that week, tossed the paper they handed him in the trash, hopped on Air Force One at our expense to make another speech somewhere.

The granting of security clearances is an executive department function. Guess who heads the executive department? Starts with an “O”, and ends with a “A”.
No its not Okra!

He has all the clearances by simply being elected (I am not discussing whether Zero is “constitutionally elected, this is a general statement regarding the election of any person to a constitutionally defined elected position, like Congressman or Senator.) Also technically the President as head of the executive branch is the final orbiter of what is classified and what is not. So theoretically he can declassify anything classified by simply saying it.

So all those people who voted for this clown to be “cool” or “historic” stick with voting in those stupid “Dancing, Singing or doing whatever with the Stars” shows. Leave real elections alone, if being “cool” etc. is the extent of your engagement with the political process.

You are absolutely correct. Among other, Obama is throwing Bill and Hillary under the bus.

Hillary doesn't have a spine, but Bill, sociopath that he is, is nonetheless a fighter. And he gets revenge on those who slight him.

Excellent catch, my FRiend.

Supposedly that's what Heisenberg did! (Though there are several schools of thought on Heisenberg's actions!)

Important to remember Hitler and Zero were both “constitutionally” elected. Duty and loyalty to the “legal process” requires you to do your “job”. (The moral dilemma many German officers found themselves in!)

Usually the “policy makers” aren't interested in the “details” of a Intel or security matter. That can be “protected” at least to some degree. However the "conclusion" created by the "details" can often reflect back on the source of the "details", that's a danger we are currently in. Remember if directly asked about the "details" they have to be given up. That's the law!

Electing “the lawless” is national suicide, the Germans discovered that to their national disgrace and dishonor, hopefully we can recover before we lose ours.
