He’s being treated for bipolar disorder — a mental illness that can bring depression, mania, risky behavior and delusions.

He’s had a highly publicized relationship with a “social acquaintance” that rocked his marriage.

His name is repeatedly linked to disgraced former Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Now he’s the target of a federal investigation into “suspicious activity” into his congressional finances.

What does all this mean for Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.’s political future when the Nov. 6 election is a little more than three weeks away?

“He’s going to be re-elected,” political consultant Thom Serafin said. “In this particular part of the world, being a ‘D’ is so important.”

The future of our Republic is very much in doubt. The franchise to vote is in the hands of too many people who should not hold it.

Mental Illness never stopped any other Democrats from participating in Congress, like Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid.

Caesar made a horse into a Senator.

Of course, we are only working with the horse’s ass, in JJ’s case, but I am sure they can make him a senator.

and that is all you have to know about chicago.

they would have probably reelected the hair guy, but I think there is a law against someone who is actually in prison running for governor.

Jessie represents his constituents very well. The mindset of those in the voting booths is a mirror reflection of their representatives. Incorrigible self-centered cretins.

We have 50% of the folks voting that should not be. I am not and have not ever been in favor of all the get out the vote campaigns. Uninformed folks should stay home. Leave the heavy lifting to those that have a clue.

It is the same way in many cites that have become ces-pools.

Imagine a gang of murders and thieves electing Mother Teresa to be their leader. Its not going to happen.

And he will be in the the upper 10% of the Congressional Black Caucus. Making a mockery of government is their greatest contribution to our society.

Correct and this part of the story is untrue.

Unlike Jackson, Rostenkowski was convicted and served prison time following an investigation for improper use of his congressional fund. Still, the powerful Democrat won elections with the ethical clouds swirling around him — until the indictment came. Then he was ousted by a little known Republican, ending a 36-year political career.

Rosti crushed the reformers in the Democratic Primary. I believe it was a negotiating tactic. Then he completely withdrew his machine during the general giving the seat to the GOP. He would have been reelected indictment or not.

Isn’t there an attendance requirement for members of Congress?

Jackson has been out for 4 straight months - can’t he be removed because of “incapacity” to represent the voters?

Black people do not vote race.

After a while you might start believing it.
