Once you get a facelift, the need for the next one comes on faster. ;) At 60, I know to just hang with nature. ;) In THIS case, it’s the others who have the problem!

She looks terrible and sounds like Jimmy Durante

I always thought she sounded like Harvey Fierstein. Come to think of it, I've never seen the two of them in the same place at the same time. Hmmmm.

That photo illustrates how accurate El Rushbo is when he describes Estrich as “The mouth that ate Los Angeles.”

...but apparently the Fox makeup wizards ...

I daresay that "wizards" doesn't come to mind when Shep trowels it on.

As for Estrich, didn't she try to look like a Coulter book cover photo for a tome of her own scrivenings about that time?

Too funny. Every time she has been on Fox she looks different. Maybe she has a twin.

The thing about Susan Estrich that stands out most to me is that voice. It reminds me of scratchy nails on a blackboard. Cranky, unhappy, irritated. I always mispronounce her name as Susan “Estrus”.

I always thought Rush referred to Susan Estrogen as “the mouth that ate Cincinnati”. Or was that the old parody “The cockroach that ate Cincinnati”?

Anyway, she has always sounded to me like Carol Channing’s evil twin with that throaty smokefilled voice.

I bought my first VCR in 1988 during the Dukakis debacle and I taped Susan Estrogen (name given her by the females on the Dukakis campaign who had to work under her) on some now forgotten CNN show. When I played it back in freezeframe, her mouth opened and shut like a shark in a holding tank. The upper and lower jaws bared teeth that could bite chunks out of a battleship. Ironically Susan weighed more then and that only made her mouth appear even more cavernous.

She’s still evil. FWIW remember that the Wicked Witch of the West had the best lines in the Wizard of Oz.

She’d been doing her crazy liberal Harvard professor feminist bitch shtick on local Boston news and PBS for about five years before Dukakis tapped her to drive his campaign into the tank. This was back in old days when TV was BIG. And mostly broadcast.

I have to say, I was surprised how well her shtick played on the road. She was always something of a freak show attraction locally, someone you could *absolutely* count on to make whacky ex cathedra pronouncements for the Church of the Most Holy Feminism coming from the Vatican of loony leftism, Harvard University, in Cambridge, Mass.

I always thought it was something of a put on. And who in their right mind would ever mistake her for truly intelligent? Obsessively deluded, fanatical, yes, but intelligent? I wouldn’t hire her to run a candy store, much less a national political campaign. (I know Dukakis did, but I qualified my question by asking who in their right mind, which clearly excluded President Dukakis. Psst: don’t tell him he lost, we still haven’t told him. He thinks they moved the White House to Brookline.)

She was never attractive physically or in her demeanor. She tried to fix herself up, and did look better for awhile.

Another one who is going downhill fast Hillary. It is shocking to see her in that long unkempt hair that she sometimes pulls back. She looked so much better in the short haircut.

Compare her to the always well-groomed and well-coifed Condi Rice. Condi always looked put together and professional, and Hillary truly looks like she just escaped from the asylum that did not provide her with shampoo.

"She was a local Massachusetts pest...a sideshow exhibit...the self righteous demeanor, the gravely voice, the spittle flecked incoherence!"

So, for how many years were you two married?

Actually, Estrich, Dukakis and Jean-Francois Kerry are examples of local Boston phenomena that have caught on nationally, much to the surprise of the locals. (Dunkin Donuts and Howard Johnson are others, though considerably less surprising. Liz Warren had absolutely no public persona in Boston prior to her run for the Senate.) When I started getting emails from JFKerry announcing his intention to run for President in 2004, I thought it was a bad joke. Kerry succeeded in getting the nomination because the Democrats craved a win, and thought his having “served” in Vietnam would insulate from charges of being hostile to America’s military. That notion is completely at variance with Kerry’s self-serving “service” and his actions at home after his separation from the Navy.

I cannot help but thinking that publicly exposing a vacuous affirmative action non-entity like Elizabeth Warren must injure Harvard’s reputation among thinking people, or at least confirm their judgment.
