Wasserman Schultz: GOP 'un-American' for seeking answers to Benghazi attack

According to Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), Republicans are "un-American" for seeking answers to the terror attack in Benghazi on September 11, the Washington Post reported Thursday.
”It is irresponsible and un-American, quite frankly, for my Republican colleagues in Congress to be jumping on this immediately as a political opportunity,” she told CNN's Piers Morgan.

"Piers, it is not, it is not OK for you to be saying that the administration was putting out completely false statements. They put out information that they had at the time based on the intelligence they were given and then as the days wore on and more," she responded.
"That turned out to be completely wrong," Morgan said, cutting her off.
"Well, that doesn’t mean it was false," she said.

The Watergate scandal was a political scandal that occurred in the United States in the 1970s as a result of the June 1972 break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C., and the Nixon administration's attempted cover-up of its involvement. The affair began with the arrest of five men for breaking and entering into the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters at the Watergate complex on June 17, 1972. Facing near-certain impeachment in the House of Representatives and a strong possibility of a conviction in the Senate, Nixon resigned the presidency on August 9, 1974.[6][7] His successor, Gerald Ford, then issued a pardon to Nixon.
I remember that there was a lot of political turmoil for those two intervening years that is not mentioned in the Wiki article... I bet that many here do remember that.
I wonder if American voters are interested in going through such consternation and turmoil a second time, for the next two years, in a fragile economy? I don't think so, and that is why I believe that BenghaziGate will have an effect of some amount on this election.
