My husband and I have been rewatching the series on BluRay for the past couple of weeks; we finished up with "Beside the Dying Fire" last night. Perfect timing. :)

Yes, they have been around for a long time but they were always occasional.
It does seem the percentage of these kinds of shows has gone WAY up in the last couple of years.
