Surviving slavery, segregation and discrimination has forged a special pride in African-Americans. Now some are saying this hard-earned pride has become prejudice in the form of blind loyalty to President Barack Obama.
Are black people supporting Obama mainly because he's black? If race is just one factor in blacks' support of Obama, does that make them racist? Can blacks' support for Obama be compared with white voters who may favor his Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, because he's white?

When I was in school in the early '70s, the Liberal teaching establishment was pushing the theme "Black is Beautiful." Students in school were pushed (by White educators) to be proud of themselves. Any White student that stood up to express pride in their White heritage was punished by the White Liberal teachers/administration.
Any "Black pride" that exists is due to White liberalism. Whites had to teach the Blacks how to respect themselves. But, it has evolved into a culture of dependency, relying on the White man to support them from cradle to grave.

Not at all. They support him because he’s a democrat. Period. If a black conservative had the nomination 90% of blacks would vote for the white liberal democrat over the black republican.

Yes , for the most part, but the problem is, Obama is NOT black. He is of mixed Arabic, Caucasian and Black decent.
That makes Obama about 1/3 African at most but he is more likely 1/6 African. Obama is less black than Oprah Winfrey who is of mixed race.
If Black people support Obama because he is “black” they are getting a raw deal.

America ended it's race-based slavery over 150 years ago. It now chooses to enslave the highly productive earners to support the lazy. Not much difference other than it's harder to tell the slaves from the others just by looking at them.

IMO, from the 2008 election, Wendell Gollar and Kelly Wright both of FOX and Colin Powell leaned toward his ‘blackness’ as opposed to his qualifications. Just saying.
For decades, people with African roots have been indoctrinated by their presumptive ombudsmen the likes of Jesse Jackson and Sharpton that they will always be judged by the color of their skin.
They have heard that message since from childhood to adulthood, it is ingrained in their very psyche that if they fail at anything in life, it’s not their fault.
It’s skin color.
For those who begin to doubt that message or start to think independently, guilt will consume them as they look in the mirror in the morning.
