A retired Army colonel and a professor of history at the University of Kansas have co-written an article instructing the U.S. Army how to properly destroy “…extremist militia [insurgents] motivated by the goals of the ‘tea party’ movement.”
Colonel Kevin Benson, who teaches modern warfare to soldiers at the University of Foreign Military and Cultural Studies at Ft. Leavenworth and Associate Professor Jennifer Weber have created a scenario in which activists under the influence of that apogee of American terrorism—Tea Party members—“…take over the government of Darlington, South Carolina, occupying City Hall, disbanding the city council, and placing the mayor under house arrest.”
How exactly do the authors explain such a thing happening? “After a change in control of the White House and Congress in 2012, the governing party cuts off all funding that had been dedicated to boosting the economy or toward relief.” In short, those evil, rich Republicans have cruelly separated the American public from all of the “free” money and services Big Brother has provided over the past several decades. As a result, “a high-profile and vocal minority has directed the public’s fear and frustration at nonwhites and immigrants.” For as we all know, “after almost ten years of race-baiting and immigrant-bashing by right-wing demagogues, nearly one in five Americans reports being vehemently opposed to immigration, legal or illegal, and even U.S.-born nonwhites have become occasional targets for mobs of angry whites.”
Of course, Benson and Weber make it clear that “mainstream” Americans and politicians react quite negatively to the aggression of the radical right.

Even if they did, I don’t think it’s appropriate to talk about assassinating their leaders. I may not agree with them, but prison is where they belong, not a cemetery.
It would be hard to imagine what capital crime taking over a state capital building would involve, as long as it was done by acquiescence and not armed conflict.

What crossed my mind when reading this Colonel’s fantasy was something entirely different.

Where’s the face of Jennifer Weber? It should be plastered everywhere, too, so we know the enemies of America on sight.
They teach this crap at the CGSC to US soldiers, how to fight their fellow citizens, but reprimand and discipline LTC Dooley for teaching them how to fight global jihad?
This is a good sign of how badly Obama has screwed-up our country in just four years.

This has been the plan for a lot longer than Prez BOzo has been on the scene. The people that pull the strings don’t think 2, 3, 4 years ahead, they think decades ahead.

I don’t know if this article from the WSJ was posted here or not, but it should have been. The article is about the out of control justice dept that forces innocent people to agree to a plea bargain and at the same time, sign away their rights. The article was stunning in its own right, but what makes it even more important to Tea Party members and other conservatives is the example that they used in the article.
The example was about a man who helped his boss transfer bags of ammonium nitrate and some oil compound to a property that his family owned. The boss was convicted of illegally possessing bomb making materials without a license. The guy said that he had a license but that he had carelessly let it expire. That’s not the interesting part, though. The interesting part is that the man came to the attention of the justice dept because he was reported to have been overheard saying that he was thinking about becoming a mercenary if the government ever failed.
