Where is CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus? He seems to be the missing man in the unfolding Benghazi debacle. It is his agency, among others, which is being fingered by the White House for getting the Libya attack wrong. However, we know that within a very short time after the murder of our ambassador (an extraordinary occurrence) and others, our intelligence community did have the story straight: This was an organized al-Qaeda attack. Is he to preside over a witchhunt? Or is he, who to date has been one of the most respected national security officials, going to be instrumental in shining light on the Libya fiasco and thereby truly serving the national interest and the memory of those killed?
That’s one of the many pending questions bubbling over in the Libya scandal. But we finally be getting some answers. On Friday Sens. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) announced that the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee will hold hearings on the Benghazi debacle. Those hearings can’t come a moment too soon. The questions are multiplying:
1. When, if ever, did Secretary of State Hillary Clinton become aware that there was a request for more security in Benghazi before 9-11-2012?
2. Who participated in briefing Ambassador Susan Rice before she went on the Sunday talk shows on Sept. 16?
3. Was the White House aware of the August Library of Congress report documenting the deteriorating security situation in Libya?
4. Was the Libya security situation included in any presidential briefings?
5. Did the CIA within a day or so determine there had been a planned terrorist attack? What did it do with this information? Why did President Obama continue to insist the attack was a spontaneous reaction to the anti-Muslim movie?

6. Did the daily WH Intel briefings have the correct information and if not, why not??
7. Did the President attend the daily briefings in the days following the 9/11/12 terrorist attack? If not, why not??
A random act of journalism by the Washington Post...it only took them a month:

Obama wasn’t taking his intel briefings, so who knows if the briefings would have included information about Libya. You must remember that Obama had just, six months prior, deposed the dictator, who was holding down Al Qaeda in Libya. Is the enemy of my enemy my friend?
On top of that, Obama was being pressured by Morsi and the brother of Al Zawahiri, to capitulate to the demands that Bin Laden had set out before the original 9/11 attacks, including the release of all Islamic prisoners ( mainly the Blind Sheik). It would have made an excellent October surprise, if the ambassador had been captured, and Obama had been able to secure his release and appease the Muslim world, by capitulating to the demands laid out by Zawahiri. But something went terribly wrong, the ambassador died.
Has Fox reported on this yet?
It makes more sense that the movie might be a setup when weighed with the comments of the actors who were unaware of its goal. This stinks more than a coverup, but appears to be a preplanned defense.
They left something out in question number 4:
4. Was the Libya security situation included in any presidential briefings? MOST IMPORTANTLY, DID OBAMA BATHER TO SHOW UP TO THE BRIEFINGS?
I’m am with you on this.
This was an al-Qaeda attack to disrupt that search.
This is turning into a huge story and even the Washington Post can’t ignore it anymore. They had an opinion column about this today, this afternoon, and it wasn’t even from the lone conservative on their staff.
They are covering up a coverup of a coverup. There’s just too many mistakes that have been made to keep this quiet. Plus, there are dead Americans. And even the staunchest Democrat is going to look at this and wonder how those missiles got to al-Qaeda and what that might mean to him/her. This is a HUGE problem caused by Democrat thinking and policies.
This story is different. Even the press won’t be able to spin it. Obama and Hillary Clinton are finished. The Democrats are going to have to do what they can to save the party, and I don’t think there’s anything they can do.
Not that I know of but I would have to find that out here. I don’t watch them much anymore.
