Where is CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus? He seems to be the missing man in the unfolding Benghazi debacle. It is his agency, among others, which is being fingered by the White House for getting the Libya attack wrong. However, we know that within a very short time after the murder of our ambassador (an extraordinary occurrence) and others, our intelligence community did have the story straight: This was an organized al-Qaeda attack. Is he to preside over a witchhunt? Or is he, who to date has been one of the most respected national security officials, going to be instrumental in shining light on the Libya fiasco and thereby truly serving the national interest and the memory of those killed?
That’s one of the many pending questions bubbling over in the Libya scandal. But we finally be getting some answers. On Friday Sens. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) announced that the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee will hold hearings on the Benghazi debacle. Those hearings can’t come a moment too soon. The questions are multiplying:
1. When, if ever, did Secretary of State Hillary Clinton become aware that there was a request for more security in Benghazi before 9-11-2012?
2. Who participated in briefing Ambassador Susan Rice before she went on the Sunday talk shows on Sept. 16?
3. Was the White House aware of the August Library of Congress report documenting the deteriorating security situation in Libya?
4. Was the Libya security situation included in any presidential briefings?
5. Did the CIA within a day or so determine there had been a planned terrorist attack? What did it do with this information? Why did President Obama continue to insist the attack was a spontaneous reaction to the anti-Muslim movie?

Holding to the narrative that the “Arab Spring” uprising were spontaneous Obama would parrot, “It is not America that put people into the streets of Tunis and Cairo — it was the people themselves who launched these movements, and must determine their outcome.”
However, the “Arab Spring” was entirely engineered, prepared for, activists trained, funded, and equipped by the United States, years in advance, based on successes and experience garnered from decades of extraterritorial meddling. In particular, a coalition between the US State Department, NGOs, corporations, and organizations entirely contrived for the sole purpose of fomenting unrest in foreign nations, began as early as 2008 preparing for what is now unfolding in the Middle East and North Africa.

WASHINGTON — Even as the United States poured billions of dollars into foreign military programs and anti-terrorism campaigns, a small core of American government-financed organizations were promoting democracy in authoritarian Arab states.
The money spent on these programs was minute compared with efforts led by the Pentagon. But as American officials and others look back at the uprisings of the Arab Spring, they are seeing that the United States’ democracy-building campaigns played a bigger role in fomenting protests than was previously known, with key leaders of the movements having been trained by the Americans in campaigning, organizing through new media tools and monitoring elections.

But nowhere was the opposition to the American groups stronger than in Egypt.
Egypt, whose government receives $1.5 billion annually in military and economic aid from the United States, viewed efforts to promote political change with deep suspicion, even outrage.
Hosni Mubarak, then Egypt’s president, was “deeply skeptical of the U.S. role in democracy promotion,” said a diplomatic cable from the United States Embassy in Cairo dated Oct. 9, 2007.
At one time the United States financed political reform groups by channeling money through the Egyptian government.
But in 2005, under a Bush administration initiative, local groups were given direct grants, much to the chagrin of Egyptian officials.

The thing that drives their movie excuse to shambles is there is and always are movies bashing Islam. Just go to Youtube and type in ‘Islam sucks’ or ‘islam is evil’ ‘mohammed sucks’ just name it, it’s nothing new. Take this one for example, it’s been up since 2008....
What if it is as juvenile and simplistic as this. There has been talk of releasing the blind sheik. What if Obama arranged through the Muslim Brotherhood to 'take', not kill, Stephens. Now we have a hostage situation. So Obama drives a negotiation with those holding Stephens.(but the SEALS were not factored in) About the last week of October an arrangement is agreed to and Obama rides in on a white horse and gets Stephens back....the Americans are happy. The Brotherhood is happy,....they got the blind sheik. The American electorate is elated at their victorious President and he is reelected in a landslide.
This is an attempted reenactment of Ronald Reagan, by force of his convictions, who brought home the Iranian Hostages in 1980.
In other words, was Obama trying to recreate analogous circumstances that was the Hostage crisis in 1980. Obama simply becomes Reagan.
I think obama and his handlers are that cynical.
