Vince Cable has warned that Europe could be plunged into war if the crisis in the eurozone results in the collapse of the currency.

The Liberal Democrat Business Secretary said that the potential consequences of the failure of the Euro were "incalculable" and that there was "no automatic guarantee" that the continent would not disintegrate into conflict. …

Speaking at the Cheltenham Literary Festival, Mr. Cable said: "I think we need to take stock that if the eurozone were to unravel in a way that destroyed the European project—and there is a risk that could happen—the consequences would be absolutely incalculable. There is no automatic guarantee that won't return." …

They got muslims. Ant war won't be with another state, it will be fighting for control of their own state.

Why would the nations actually fight? Devolving back to nation states is like the break up of the USSR. Some migration, a surge of local nationalism, but not war. You’d get real fighting if there were refugees like a new Muslim wave from North Africa or Turks fleeing through Greece, not France and Italy going back to their currencies and ignoring the growing German super-state.

All of em, including the Brits are unarmed, helpless, moslem infested, broke, and pussified. War would never happen there, not in our lifetime. Bank on it.

Who exactly would fight this war? The vacationaholic populations? Doubtful.

It would be an interesting war because the muslims will probably join in the fighting on one side, then the other, all the while fighting both sides.

DITTO. Keep austerity via EU appointed leaders to debt nations, and you truly will end up with war as facist like parties gain support and power. Greek facist party grew to 22 percent support or the third largest political party in a space of 3 years!!!!

and a message to boot - if not all under a collective, war is the only alternative. Silly me for thinking that dusting off the currency presses and reidentifying as an independent nation would be another alternative.

Sure, but only after Gore and Obama (and maybe Heinz Kissinger) give up theirs.
