Voters are now more critical of how the Obama administration has handled the situation in Libya, including the murder of the U.S. ambassador there, and most think it will hurt President Obamas chances for reelection. However, they are slightly more confident in the president than Mitt Romney to handle events in the Middle East.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 35% of Likely U.S. Voters now rate the way the administration has responded to the situation in Libya as good or excellent. Thats down nine points from 44% in mid-September just after the murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens. Forty percent (40%) view the administrations Libya response as poor, up from 34% a month ago.
The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters nationwide was conducted on October 13-14, 2012 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
the First Idiot had just made his foreign policy expertise a major issue in his convention speech. it immediately collapsed.
THAT is an issue.
[However, they are slightly more confident in the president than Mitt Romney to handle events in the Middle East.]
You’d have to be beyond stupid to believe that! How can anyone think that?
To paraphrase Ed Koch:
“It STILL isn’t safe to vote for a Democrat...”
These polls are so screwed up. I wouldn’t be surprised for the polls to say 65% of every one who intends to vote will vote for obama. 100% of them admit to lying about who they’re going to vote for.
The “Obama got Bin Laden” crowd still trumpets that talking point when pundits talk foreign policy differences. However that argument has been almost entirely negated by Benghazi-gate, which is becoming like a cancer in the Obama Administration.
Because brain damaged biden told them so.
Let’s hope it’s safe to vote in America!
does this poll mean 49% think its ok to murder
“...safe to vote...”
That’s up to each individual voter.
You have a civil, constitutional, and basic HUMAN right to protect your own life, regardless of what Libs think or say.
Take steps to do so, and convince other folks you know to do the same.
The other side wins only if we let them win - and I don’t mean only election-wise.
Accept the fact that there possibly will be violence from the usual suspects, and prepare for it. If nothing happens, so much the better.
Better to be prepared and have nothing happen, than not.
Close all US public schools! This is unbelievable, who is this poll polling? Even the Libyans are complaining about the handling of US security in Libya! Is 35% of our population on the side of the terrorists?
35% thought that Obama has done a good job in Libya? That just begs a follow up question of “Why?”. For crying out loud, ask the question and then haul out a globe and have them point out Libya on it.
“You’ve just pointed to Finland.”
“Ohhhh....have you seen my free cell phone?”
The people who will vote for Obama do not give a damn about some Ambassador that got himself killed, after supplying weapons to those who killed him.
I’ll bet most Americans know nothing about this.
I have read an article that says the ambassador was gay. He might have had an affair with a certain half black president who’s nickname in Chicago was “bath house barry”. And this ambassador was set up and left to be murdered like the four black gay members of a church that this muslim attended.
There’s what no one is talking about.
