As Mitt Romney's campaign announced on Monday that it raised a personal-best $170 million in September, his top donors are gathering at Manhattan’s Waldorf Astoria hotel for a three-day retreat at which they will attend strategy sessions, rub elbows with Republican luminaries and cheer on their candidate at a debate party featuring comedian Dennis Miller.

The $170 million figure is almost as much as the near-record $181 million that President Obama raised last month.

And remember, these are his SEPTEMBER numbers, all before the first debate when he was declared “finished” according to the media. I imagine since then he has more than made up the difference between himself and Obama.

I have family members who are mormons. Missionaries don’t get any pay from the church. I really doubt they would have any money to donate.

An important note:

Romney has $191 million cash on hand.

The big difference is that Romney’s donors are not Muslims from Middle Eastern countries.

An important note: Romney has $191 million cash on hand.

That is important because Republicans get one shot to sink the Dem. If they fire too early, the press figures out how to spin and mitigate the damage. So they have to balance between not opening fire too late when it won't matter any more vs. opening fire too early when the damage can be cleaned up by the press. The next several weeks are going to be total war and unlike McCain, Romney is well prepared for it.

The $170 million figure is almost as much as the near-record $181 million that President Obama raised last month.

And Romney didn't even have to resort to illegal overseas donations.

The election will close as a battle of ideas. There is no amount of spending by the Marxist that can exceed that of Romney.

I doubt that’s true, but even if it is, I’d take mormon money over muslim money any day of the week.

Do you know how much Obama has?

0bama and his buddies the enemedia, soros-et-al, and bernanke have unlimited funds. Their solicitations for $3 or $5 are for show.

Per this link:

http://www.humanevents.com/2012/10/15/hudson-obama-leads-romney-with-cash-on-hand-but-gop-leads-in-overall-fundraising/

Barry has $88 million on hand, while Romney has $50 million....but the RNC has $70 million vs DNC only has $7 million.

Barry isn’t allocating any of his haul to the DNC, while Romney is....and this money can be spent on the Romney campaign, as well as the other races.

And then there’s the PACS, in which right leaning pacs lead.

So who knows...all I know is Barry will not be able to outspend Romney 3:1 like McCain...remember McCain closing up state offices towards the end, while Barry bought a 30 minute infomercial on all the major networks with his spare dough?

And, he is SCREWING the DNC. First he left the Dem senators out to dry, with an unpopular Obamacare vote, then he promises to get them re-elected with his personality, then he refuses to contribute to the DNC. I thought I didn’t like him...imagine what a Dem Senator thinks about him.

“We’ve been told a lot of BS from Pravda media.”

Watch your words, comrade! Don’t be labeled a “wrecker.” You need to get back to the collective and exceed your norm! It is the new “economic patriotism!”

That was my thought exactly: at least Romney/Ryan donations are legitimate.

And I can hardly wait to see the October numbers!
