Two police officers repeatedly pummeled a shirtless man in a Jewish youth center in Brooklyn after they roused him from sleeping and moved to arrest him, surveillance video released Sunday night shows.
Cops showed up at the Aliya Institute on E. New York Ave. in Crown Heights on the evening of Oct. 8 after receiving a call about a fight between two men, a community source told the Daily News.
But Zlamy Trappler, 24, a volunteer security guard at the center, said he called cops because he found the shirtless man drunk and sleeping in the lounge of the center, which provides services to young Jewish adults.

at 1:04 it looks like he may have touched the officers hand. Assault in any city.
At 1:09 the Uniformed Secretary gently tugs at his lower arm above the wrist(How frickin stupid is that?) He forcefully pulls his arm up in a fashion I would interpret as a swing, if I was standing in front of guy.
Yeah, it looks like he just pulled away when on tape but when he pulls away from the uniformed secretary and I’m standing there well, that sure isn’t how I’m going to interpret it.
So now he’s up for Resisting Arrest.
At this point I’m sure the officers are demanding he comply and as they move in he starts flailing his arms. Looks desperate and as the Male officer moves to press the bumb, grabbing both his wrist, the blockhead properly breaks the grip of the officer and does in a fairly violent manner.
Now it’s game on, like Donkey Kong.
Cop goes haywire, uniformed secretary gives the guy several love taps. He ain’t complying.
At this point he is probably being yelled at and told to turn over, get on the ground, etc...whatever.
The Brawny cop attempts several times to get a hold of the misift. After a minute he finally gets the upper hand and seems to have the 99%er pushed over into a submissive position but, it looks like Mr. Brawny cop is a bit out of breath as he leans on the Resistor.
At 2:55 the cop attempts to leverage the Resistor off the couch. I don’t know why he couldn’t. He looks about 40 pounds heavier. Anyway, it’s at this point the Resistor puts his hand on the cops shoulder probing to see if he can the cop off him.
When he can’t, he starts fiddling with the Brawny Cop’s hands to release the fingers. More assault.
At this point Mr. Brain Squeeze, lashes out in a manner that I would interpret as a couple of swings, knocking the baton out of the uniformed secretary’s hand and pushing her back. Another Assault.
After 2.5 minutes and even Bigger Brawny Cop comes in and it’s game over, even as the pimple headed miscreant continues to resist by turning so he can’t be cuffed.
But, to bad, so sad...it’s over.
So that’s the way I see it and I call em when I see em.
If cops is wrong and wrong in the head for shooting dogs then I call em on it.
When they are right...well, thems the breaks.
That’s the way I see it too. In fact a male officer would have forced the mans hands behind his back and cuffed him before he had a chance to start anything.When the little female tried it she wasn’t strong enough to make it stick.Then the big brave cop with her had to show his ass.
The guy made too many offensive moves but two male cops would have been able to handle it differently.
Chest bumping a cop is probably never a good idea.
Yeah. God forbid we resist the POLICE! I mean, who are we to do that?
Ya might want to check out the other thread on this where there’s more info regarding the kid having permission to stay there for the past month.

I would have used a nightstick, its much quicker.
you should know if you resist arrest you will be taken with force. you can decide if it’s worth it to fight with the cops or take it up with the judge
They received a call about a fight, responded and this fellow did not obey a lawful command.

That's idiotic.
If you want to "resist" the cops, elect a new sheriff, get bad ones fired, whatever, but you're not going to work anything out in the impromptu court of sidewalk justice.
well, then, that seems like the volunteer security guard’s problem.
Peaceful resistance is best, however the cops are taking that off the table.
Seems cops think they are better than everyone else and we all have to jump at their slightest whim, or be beat, tazed or shot.
Its time to return cops to their proper role of being a public servant.
"They" meaning the two cops shown in the video who woke the guy up on the couch? Where was the fight?

The community source said Halevi had been allowed to stay at the Institute.
