If Crowley tries to change the rules Romney should say “Candy, these people went through a lot of trouble to get here to be able to ask questions of the President and me. Every minute you talk is a minute the people here will be cheated out of. With that in mind, I’ll only respond to questions from the audience. If you want to interview the president you can do it on your own time. Next question, please.”

I think Candy got paid.

She did everything but cut Mittens's hands off. He started to address F&F, and she whacked him with a meat-axe. Gave him a strong redirect to a question of her devising, turning him away from F&F to a defensive issue about his gun-control record in Taxachusetts.

She was clearly trying to drive the debate and, I thought, keep Romney off a profitable subject that was brought up by a gun-control question directed to Obama.
