Lima, Peru (CNN) -- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the buck stops with her when it comes to who is to blame for security ahead of a deadly assault on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya.
"I take responsibility" for what happened on September 11, Clinton said in an interview with CNN's Elise Labott soon after arriving in Lima, Peru, for a visit. The interview, one of a series given to U.S. television networks Monday night, was the first she has given about the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
Clinton insisted President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are not involved in security decisions.
"I want to avoid some kind of political gotcha," she added, noting that it is close to the election.
The attack killed Chris Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya, and three other Americans at the consulate

I agree with you 100%!!! The media will move to shield Hillary Clinton, not Obama. Hillary & Bill Clinton are the saviors of the Democrat Party. Why do think Bill Clinton is out campaigning half-heartedly for Obama. The Clintons hate Obama with passion, no matter what face they wear in public!!! They know Obama is toast, and....they will be standing there to pick up the pieces of the Democrat Party after, November 6, 2012!~!!

I'd bet on it. And it could be nasty when it happens.
The "catch" is that people for some reason believe this is a rational world with an unbiased media, and this somehow will hurt Hillary.
Nothing could be further from the truth. The MSM won't go after her, they'll praise her, and they'll savage Republicans who bring this up if she runs in 2016.
This is a no-risk move for Hillary, so it doesn't require any bribery from Obama, etc.
There is something really funky about the hiring of the Blue Mountain security firm - the contact person is with GSA and so is the address.
The person in charge high tailed it out of Benghazi a few hours before the attack. And on and on and on.
The investigtion may be something they (or the CIA) want to shut down - among MANY other things.
How could she have the responsibility for security when the authority to order troops to Benghazi lies with the President?
