The proverbial stuff hit the fan this time around.
There is no way the Republicans are going to let them off the hook. I think at how for the most part the Democrats where so subdued during the four hour public hearing. They know, things are going to explode on this one.
About the only thing they could try to bring out was the fact that in 2009, the DoS security budget was cut.
But as we then found out. There where no shortage of funds available for beefing up the security. General Ham for instance insuring Colonel Hood, that they could have US forces to beef up security in Benghazi. So much can be addressed on this whole sordid affair, but what's the use of just re-iterating all that is in plan view for examination at this point. Things will slowly play out. The 50 minute tape Issa will eventually examine probably will be a hot point. Ambassador Kennedy looked pretty bad when Issa continued to insist the tape be handed over.
I wonder why Issa did not suggest that the tape simply be copied. Hell bells. The original could have stayed with the none named investigative entity while Issa's committee got access to it at the same time.
