I sadly concur with your analysis...

Most of these young folks (men and women) were raised without having the intrinsic value of respect for the law of the land...

Likewise lacking in the instruction and mutual respect for others, the family, community, church, as well as the basics of common morals & ethics.

Living within the shared boundaries of a civil society has many benefits... generally including public safety.

OTOH...
If you live like a feral animal-- you may well die like a feral animal.

I am sorry for this family's loss and pain -- after the fact.

I am also sorry they didn't teach him any better than to live & die as a failed predator.

So... it’s not the kids, it’s not the law, it’s the PARENTS.

Notice that all the ‘parents’ involved in this fiasco DENY their CHILD would commit such acts.

They don’t ‘know’ what their kids DO, because they actually use the DON’T ASK/DON’T TELL policy.
