Republican Senate Armed Services Committee members Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) and John McCain (R-AZ) slammed President Barack Obamas administration after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton claimed the blame for the lack of security that lead to the death of the American ambassador in Libya on 9/11/12. The senators said that Clintons claim of full responsibility is a signal that the White House is trying to avoid any responsibility whatsoever.
The senators say that Clintons claim of responsibility is laudable, but there is no way for the White House to escape ultimate responsibility for the failure of intelligence and proper security preparation that lead to the fatal attack on the Benghazi consulate.
If the President was truly not aware of this rising threat level in Benghazi, then we have lost confidence in his national security team, whose responsibility it is to keep the President informed. But if the President was aware of these earlier attacks in Benghazi prior to the events of September 11, 2012, then he bears full responsibility for any security failures that occurred. The security of Americans serving our nation everywhere in the world is ultimately the job of the Commander-in-Chief. The buck stops there.
The letter also makes it clear that the president bears responsibility for members of his administration promoting the idea that a YouTube video was responsible for an attack when it has become clear that there was not even a protest in front of the consulate before the 9/11 attack.

What a wuss!
Let them off the hook?
These are vile criminals, connivers of the worst sort.
The president of the united states and the secrtary of state are worms in the dirt.
They deserve no such mercy. What they deserve is prison cells fo rthe rest of their lives.
Yes, exactly. The McCain of four years ago doesn’t seem to be the McCain of today...
I’m really glad they’re keeping up the heat on Bambi. This stunt with having Hillary pretend to take “full responsibility” (for something she didn’t even control, that is, policy) is backfiring in a big way and making Obama look even more foolish and/or evil than he did before.
I guess I don’t get what it means to take “full responsibility”.
If she said, “I take full responsibility for what happened in Benghazi and it is also clear that I am incompetent in my position as a result of what happened. In an effort to protect our other diplomats, I will be resigning my position as Sec. of State immediately and will be replaced by Chuck Norris.”
Then I would get it.
This is the worst. day. ever. Hope it doesn't affect his golf game.
They’re instructing the President of the United States of America about his responsibilities? They are reminding him of the long-held, formal and customary obligations of his office? Now?
These are the same guys who have been rolling over for this creep for 4 years... they are as much to blame as HE is.
“Bush’s dog ate my homework!”
“...and then I ate him!
If that's the case, it will take years to find him.
If shes responsible...SHE SHOULD RESIGN!.....end of story!
Another sternly worded letter from the Arab Spring gang to posture by. They’ll both be fondly embracing Obama as he departs for his final ride oon Air Force One.
