Robert Gibbs Predicts ‘Exceptionally Strong’ Debate Performance from Obama
PJ Media ^ | October 16, 2012

Posted on 10/16/2012 11:49:56 AM PDT by NCjim

If you look straight up and squint really hard, you might be able to see where Obama surrogate Robert Gibbs raised the bar this morning on MSNBC. Gibbs says that tonight in the second presidential debate President Obama will be “exceptionally strong,” along with “passionate” and “energetic.”

Adjectives not mentioned: “factual,” “accurate,” “honest,” “straightforward,” “candid,” or “believable.”

I may want to throw up as Obama follows Biden down the lying phoney road.

Obama is good at this. Please see the “religious forum” Obama and Hilary participated in on CNN. Obama claimed his whole life is given up to Jesus Christ and he looks to God for decision making every day.

Obama is a democrat and a leftist, you can spell that L-I-A-R.

Gibbs has probably wrote his column for tomorrow - praising Dear Leader for winning the debate with style, courage and honor.

Is it redundant to call Gibbs a suck-up toadie?

Obama shows up breathing—MSM will call it a Great Victory. All Mitt needs to do is pull no Gaff, look like an adult, and he wins. Obama’s best will only slow the hemorrhaging.

Good! Raise the expectations. Makes it harder for him to meet them, and harder for the MSM to try and spin and say he won if he loses.

I think it has the potential to be as poor a performance as last time. His material hasn’t changed. With Libya it’s gotten worse if anything. And I have this hunch he knows he’s beat. A narcissist can’t perform properly knowing that. They couldn’t spin last time into a win and they won’t be able to spin this one either, if I’m right.

Yep. Even if Romney wins, the communist mainstream press will be downright giddy at “0’s” performance. They will have tingles in places I don't even want to know about. In unison they will shout it from the tops of tall buildings the Messiah won - he won!!! He was magnificent - what brilliance. Yep lots of stuff to make one gag.

All Romney has to do is call Obama out on one factual error and Obama will collapse. Obama will obsess over Romney's questioning of Obama that he will lapse into uhms and ahs for the rest of the debate.

I suppose the WH physician will be standing by behind the curtain, at the ready.

But all the ‘pick-me-ups’ 0 may get will be no substitute for employment, reasonable food and energy prices, and the alarming loss of freedom and liberty we’ve endured.

“and Romney is loaded for bear. Bring it Zero. Romney is ready for you and your lies.”

Amazing how so many people just think Romney is just going to vanish into a void. The guy is incredibly smart, and his prep team hasn’t been spending the past few days on vacation. They know everything Obama is going to try and everything he will likely say.

This is the same ramp up they puked out before the first time. If they were smart, they would take it down a notch.

Maybe it’s time for my tinfoil hat but, the liberal mentality is that if you cannot rise to the level of your competition, you bring the completion down to your level. Given the Secret Service’s recent black eye, and Obama’s penchant for doing whatever it takes, I hope Mitt has independent folks watching out for his wellbeing. Slipping Romney a “mickey” before the debate would be in line with Obama’s mode of operation.

BHO and team have already gotten the questions and already formulated the answers which BHO has no-doubt memorized. In this sense, BHO will have a “stronger” performance than last time. He also has a partisan “moderator” to prevent Romney from getting too uppity.

Romney’s only advantages tonight are: 1. he is a better man; 2 he is more intelligent; and he has the truth on his side.

It should be very interesting.

No, but if they are crazy enough to claim Biden won, what more will they say about their idol? It is really disgusting how left most of the media in our country lean. I am not a vengeful person (oh, well not all the time)but if “0” should win I hope they tax the heads and owners of the alphabet networks at 98.5%. Leaving them just enough to pay child support to all their kids from multiple marriages and maybe a spam sandwich or two.

Insight into Liberal minds at this moment:

“Strange memories on this nervous night at Hofstra University. Has it been four years? Five? It seems like a lifetime, the kind of peak that never comes again. Election Night, 2008 was a very special time and place to be a part of. But no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time in the world. Whatever it meant.

“There was madness in any direction, at any hour. You could strike sparks anywhere. There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning.

“And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of old and evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn’t need that. Our energy would simply prevail. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Hempstead, New York and look west, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark - that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back”
