Hasn’t the media declared Obama the winner already?

I know what you mean. Every time Obama speaks I get that sick feeling I had the few times I’ve been talked into watching a horror movie.

We will know rather quickly if Zero has been given the questions in advance.

Of course he will have the questions in advance. What's to stop him? The whole debate process is part of the democrat machine. I mean they pick the moderators, the questioners, the questions, and try to steer the answers. I am quite certain that Biden had the questions also.

I understand where you are coming from. I could not stand more than 30 minutes of the first debate. Obama’s voice makes me sick. The Arlington VA Republican committee is having a debate party at a local bar. (Yes Republicans in Arlington, VA.) We saw the VP debate there last week and are going to the debate tonight there. The company should make Obama a bit easier to listen to.

Sure glad that FR is here. I really enjoy these threads during the debate. The humor keeps me positive in these most important times.

Go Mitt, Go Military and Go Gators! Get out and vote!

P.S. Ladies, it is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Go get checked and take someone with you! It’s important. My wife and I are members of a club we never wanted to join.

Big questions for this debate are:

1)Can Obama be aggressive without overdoing it.

2)Can Obama match Romney’s in-depth knowledge and go toe-to-toe rather than struggling to repeat formulaic talking points.

3) Can Romney respond to Obama’s agresssion with aggressive, fact based answers where he maintains a “presidential” aura ala the first debate.

4) Will a biased moderator be able to tilt the scales sufficiently such that Obama gains an advantage that makes a difference.

5) Can Romney effectively combat the bias/interruptions effectively without appearing to be overbearing or “un-presidential”

6) Will a Republican, ANY REPUBLICAN, finally explain in detail why the democrats’ lies about the $5 trillion hole in the deficit plan is a lie. (OK this one is my pet peeve).

We had a ‘big’ one August a year ago, just up the road from where I live. The sound .... wow .... big rumble that just grew and then everything was shaking. Pictures were crooked on the walls, a couple of things fell off of shelves, the china cabinet doors almost flew open, but I grabbed them and saved two stacks of china that were about to shake out. Folks near the epicenter had chimneys come down, foundations cracked, schools had to be closed, etc. We had aftershocks for weeks after .... the first big one was a 4.2 about 12 hours later. It was an interesting and frightening experience. Hope everyone up your way is ok ...

"What about 3 or 4 live threads - identified as such? Maybe spread the load?"

Well, we can give it a try. If there’s a chance that hundreds of people trying to post to the same thread at the same time is causing a deadlock on the db, it’s worth a shot to try to split the load. John says the load avg on the web server was low, the cpu’s were not busy and the db sever was mostly idle last time, but we couldn’t get any throughput. Could be a logjam in the db caused by record locks making it hard to get anything in or out.

It’s over.

Even if Holder “holds up the election”.

What I’ve seen in Cincinnati, as I’m likely the only conservative/libertarian in the city is:

* NO one has rang my doorbell about Obama...like ACORN people (in 2008, 10 or so had done this by now)
* Very few/fewer signs in yards
* fewer bumber stickers

I see this stuff on my runs/jogs through the neighborhoods...I can tell there will be a smaller turnout than in 2008 - yes, these are liberal and predominantly black neighborhoods. The crawling over glass to get to the polls just isn’t there.

Is this anecdotal, yes...but it is noteworthy.
